Why would you want stiff boots? Stiff boots dont mean good protection btw

  • Author

I have an ankle that I fractured 40 years ago and I need a stiffer sole. My ankle hurts from starting and standing on the pegs

I found my sidis were stiff, but i now have a pair of alpinestars and while comfier they seem to have a thicker sole with more cushion

Boots designed for Enduro and Motocross.  They are like wearing leg casts on your feet compared to moccasins and you will be giving up brake and peg control for increased ankle support.

wear a thin ankle brace they fit well inside the boots

I would have to give the alpinestars the nod for stiff when considering ankle issues.  My wife's garnier are much softer in almost every way.  Good luck.
