April 14, 200620 yr just had the thermostat on the bike replaced by a dealer as we couldn't find it our selves (seems to be tucked away in a tube?) and when i atempted to start the bike the kickstart got jamed in the foot peg and this happened every time we tried it. Does anyone have a way of solving this as we have pushed the kickstart itself inwards to see if it would go further in but that didn't happen. Any help would be appreciated! April 14, 200620 yr Are they customised pegs .. ? im sure my kickstart has like a small cricle thing on the back so it does happen. How hard are you booting it for it to get stuck anyway ?
April 14, 200620 yr Author they're standard pegs (hebo) and you can't kick it any lighter or it won't start.
April 14, 200620 yr Which bit is it getting stuck in ? Il have a look tomo when i go on my bike if theres supposed to be a washer on there or something to make it come further out.
April 15, 200620 yr i had this problem with mine, sort of cleared itself.... have you bent the footrest or pivot bolt or your kickstart may not be on the spline properly, like!
April 15, 200620 yr Kick start removed and placed back on still fouls the rear of the rest. It will clear eventually but NYL winds himself up about these things!
April 15, 200620 yr Is it just catching on like one tooth i think where my kickstart goes down the teeth are lower than the rest on my peg ? Only really thing i could see on mine without seeing what yours is doing.
April 16, 200620 yr Thanks to everyone the kick start started working properly during the John Bolton Trial.
