I just purchased a new 4RT Repsol Replica and none of the street lights work. (Head light, Tail light, turn signals, horn, etc.) What do I need to check??? (the dealer did replace the stock ignition with the HRC programmable ignition from the Repsol kit)

No - THAT IS CORRECT - THE HRC KIT MAKES THE BIKE "COMPETITION" SPEC. AND THEREFORE NOT A "ROAD" MACHINE AND AS SUCH THE LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE PROGRAMMABLE THROTTLE BODY FITTED. CONTACT YOUR DEALER AGAIN IF YOU WANT IT SWOPPING BACK OVER.

Sorry, but this is NOT CORRECT, at least not here in Italy! What does it has to do the remappable ECU or the carbon parts or the Renthal handelbars with the street lights? I've been offered a Repsol replica, and even if at the end I went for a standard '06 model, the Repsol also was "street legal" here, at least on the papers, and the lights were perfectly working!

The repsol rep comes with a carbon fibre headlight so surely the brake light should work as well if you wired it in.Dougie and fujis bikes both have programmable ecus and these headlights and I assume they work or why would they have the excess weight on the bike!?

P.A

Do people who compete in the tdn and world champs acctually buy there own bikes?

I would have thought the works mechanic would get there lights working for them

not ask how to do it on a forum???

Luckilly at club level here in the uk at least we do not require working lights.

The thing is that private owners can do what they like to their bikes BUT if you have an accident and try to seek compensation from HONDA, then they will say that it has to be standard showroom condition before they will even think about reading the details concerned. But if its non-standard (non-showroom) then you have NO CHANCE!

Right then so think about it....did your REPSOL come supplied by HONDA (not the dealer but the importer) with the HRC ECU?
