July 23, 200620 yr Hi all, i need a thermostat for my 99 beta techno, im going to lampkins up the road for one tomorro but are they hard to fit? iv heard that they are easy, that they need sealing in, and that they need setting, which is true? any help would be great! Jonno
July 24, 200620 yr changed one on my mates 99 recently, just screwed it straight on, i think there was a washer on it, make sure that you don't over tighten it as you'l snap it off,its only brass, test your old one by putting it in a cup of hot water and see what the resistance is, resistance should be low above 70 deg celcius i think, new ones are rated slightly lower, it has the numbers on it. it'll probably say 68-72.

July 25, 200620 yr No thermostat on techno dont you mean thermo switch for fan! technically your right. make sure you remind beta next time they do a partslist wont you
