  2. Hi all, recently bought an 02 gas gas txt pro in an attempt at getting back into trials. bikes perfect but the clutch is reall really stiff. When i bought it the bike was still slightly pulling when the clutch was pulled in but not enough to stall the bike. A bit of adjustment soon sorted this. However its still stiff. Was just wondering if anyone knew what this could be? Thanks in advance, Jonny
  3. When i click the link for the out of section video it just says 'Too many conections' help!
  4. I was going to buy a pair of the alpine stars, but when i went to the shop (wont name names but its a big, very well known shop) i was told to stay well clear, and that its mostly the younger lads that buy them because they want to wear the same boots as lampkin. but they said the amount they get back due to various problems is stupid. so i bought some Hebo ones instead. After talking to the guys at said shop id never buy a pair.
  5. ah yes, yeah i decided i wanted a change in the end, thanks for your help, Jonno....
  6. Hi all, the right hand side engine case on my 2000 Montesa is pretty scratched, so i thought id take it off and polish it, i asked a mate and he told me that this side should not have any oil behind it as it was the oppisite side to the clutch (i myself know nothing about motorbikes) however when i started to take the casing off oil started to drip from behind it, now having been told there was no oil nehind this side i imediatly tightened the case back up, can anyone tell me A) If this is normal and im being stupid. OR B ) Whats f*cked? Any help would be great, Ta, A very worried Jonno....

Hi all, while my bikes in a zillion bits im thinking of getting a few things anodized, i know wheels can be sent to candy wheels, but what about things like swingarms? does anyone know were they can be sent? Ta, Jonno...
  10. Just listened to the knock and it is there when reving it but only quietly, my mate rang sandifords and they said that they thought it was a bearing in or around the clutch does this sound likely? i dont know anything about engines myself so,
  11. only really when the bike is on tick over, not all the way up the rev range,
  12. I've Heard this knock, Its almost like a chattering (but def a knock rather than a rattle) coming from the clutch side.
  13. No thats true, thanks for the comments so far guys
  14. He's a lorry driver so works away a lot, hence getting hold of the bike is not as easy as it sounds. /quote] But, if your Beta is in "very good condition" and the Montesa is only "average condition for it's age", then why are you considering it? because its a newer bike, and if my sources are correct the montesa is slightly lighter
  15. because i dont want to damage it, i just thought id ask people opinions.
