Hi
Just broke part of the inner clutch holder/basket whilst trying to remove it to change crank seal. Will one of a DT fit?

Compare part numbers on www.csmnl.com to get an idea, would think that quite a few parts would interchange between dt's & ty's

You also need to check if there are the same number of teeth as the primary drive ratio may be different.
There seem to be quite a few on the bay

How did you break the inner, its normally the outside that breaks

How did I break it well, lets say I did not put much thought in removing it and used the inner bolts to lock it rather than wait to get the proper tool.

no it is not same as a dt for a start it is a deeper basket and may also have different gear, I waited months (perhaps more than a year) to locate a new TY 175 clutch basket as mine had wear, I never came across a basket from any other model that would fit.
a DT complete clutch may do with a DT casing as that also sticks out a little further than the TY one.

sorry may have given a bit of duff info, looks like there may be some years of DT175 that are same but some are not, I bought a DT and it was wrong, I am 99% sure a TY suitable item will have part number beginning with 525-
