I think the one thing that I truly hate to do on a modern Trials bike is too bleed the rear brakes. It is one of those things that I was told, 9 out of 10 men have troubles occasionaly and the tenth is a liar,,,,,,,,, OOOhhhh wrong board. Anyway, so after a really long day at work with not a lot going right, I go by the powdercoat shop to pick up a mower flywheel that my wife wants fixed NOW, not yesterday, or tomorrow, but NOW. Andddddd, of course, he jobbed it out to someone else...... UURRRGGHHHHh. Come home and watch Dean ride some on the new bike, and that was pretty cool, he is getting the hang of it and after that decide to go ahead and hang the rear wheel / …

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and to trials. Having ridden road bikes for years and then moved into trail riding and the odd enduro and (very) occasional motorcross I've decided to have a go at trials. I did a days training with Steve Saunders on Saturday and learnt loads. I really enjoyed it. I'm looking for somewhere to practice around the Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire area any suggestions? Rgds, Mark

Hi, Just wondering what size to buy? i currently have hebo tecnical 46's are they are quite sloppy i can move my foot with just a normal pair of socks about 1.5cm backwards and forwards. My dad also has a pair of the late hebos not the old style like mine, again size 46 but these are tighter. I know hebo are small in sizes but how would a pair of the latest hebo 46's compare to 45 gaerne's size wise? will the 45 be snug? I dont want to grow out of them, i dont think i should grow much more i am 16 going on 17 so hopefully i wont grow out of them. Cheers James

Hi, I have a 2013 Scorpa sr 280! Starts no problem & idles fine, but when you give it throttle it bogs out and has intermittent revs. New cdi, stators been checked and it’s fine, carbs checked and clean, new air filter, piston / rings all good. Am at a serious loss as to what’s going on!! Any help most appreciated.

I’m really struggling with the sport and it’s taking me so long to get to grips with the basics it’s starting to get embarrassing. One thing I am noticing as I ride with peeps on 250 and 300cc bikes is that I have to ride my bike differently - I’m just not entirely sure what to do! What advice would you give someone riding a 125 that would differ (or even that’s the same!) as the larger CC. For example: my friends 250cc will just track up a (not particularly steep) hill with a smidge of throttle, my 125 would need more oomph at the bottom or it would be touch and go if it made it up.

Hello All; new elderly member returning riding after 40 years; Just found a 1976 Yamaha TY175 the same bike I bought new in 1976; The bike is in good shape everything original; I’d like to slowly start updating it to make it a bit lighter and handle and ride better; nothing major at first may be tires, handlebars, levers, and foot peg replacement / repositioning; any advice or previous experiences in doing this; would be appreciated; my goal being older now; is to slowly bring back my riding skills; in woods behind my house and possibly enter a Observed Trials event down the road; I’m hoping some upgrading and simple mods; will help and make a more enjoyable riding experi…

As previously posted, I have recently returned to trials after a big lay off, and was never up to much of a standard due to just mucking about on the farm as a kid and not entering trials. BUT it is now all systems go and I am full of beans and enthusiasm to really have a go at getting a lot of practice in to improve and enter trials. I currently own the Scorpa and I am enjoying it. But.... I have the option of getting an immaculate 2006 Sherco 290 for a good price. I have ridden a 2005 Sherco 290 a few times and it feels good. Is the 290 going to prove to be a bit of a handfull? or is that scare mongering from some quarters? Help! Your comments would be much ap…

when out riding, the odd time another trials bike passes me, it smells totally different, not like normal petrol/2 stroke when i 1st bought my sherco it also smelt the same, a weird / different smell to it, but now im using my own petrol/2stroke the smell has gone. so im guessing its something to do with the petrol or oil?? any 1 any ideas? a different 2stroke maybe?

Hello everyone, I just purchased a neglected 83' Italjet 350 T Piuma with scrutineers paint marks on both hubs, engine and steering head. Two of the marks are still readable with Rider No. 26 in the paint dab. I was told it was left over from the world round in here in the States. It only has the single marks where the other two Italjets brought over competed in the Canadian Round as well. I was told that the rider broke the kicker shaft and had other problems and the bike was abandoned here in the States. I'm just trying to track down some history on this bike as I start to get it back together. It runs great but needs a few bits here and there. However, it is com…

Whats the dissadvantages of a tubeless tire? My tire goes flat after about 2 hours, I think I need a new rim tape but rather than getting that I'm thinking of just putting an Inner tube on so it stays up permenantly. I've had a look round the forums to see if anyone else has asked this question and cant seem to find anything. Is there any disadvantage towards having grip with an innertube in?
