Cool look? Note the angle of the rear mudguard on Chris Bruands bike. Tired of those boring curved mudguards? Just apply heat gun and bend to shape. Both Bruand & Nozaki's bike were afflicted. Have they started something? Pic taken at the indoor bash before the start if the Verdon 5 day trial in France recently.

Did my first trial at the weekend. It was only a beginners and wobblers but what can I say it was so much fun. The biggest difference for me was the attitude of those involved as it was much more relaxed than any Enduro or H&H I've competed in. I know as a B&W it isn't meant to be a competition but it was the fact that everyone was enjoying themselves and being helpful to us beginners. I found the beginners route too easy and the novice routes to hard so I stuck to the wobblers and found that once the nerves had disappeared and I did more laps the better I got. OK so in most sections I had a couple of dabs but I didn't think that too bad as it was only the se…

Does anyone know where I can get some bits of Dural plate - 6mm to 8mm thick, for brake stays and the like. Years ago a chap in Yorkshire had an aladdins' cave of odd bits of non-ferrous metals of all shapes and sizes, a godsend for the specials builders of the time. In the UK, I mean !.

Andy, it's an idea but why don't you invite the stars into the chat room. Meet the stars sort of thing. It'll make the top guys more accesible to us in the colonies.

Some time in the not so distant future if things go to plan, our club in the rockless flat and muddy Milton Keynes will have a small parcel of land on a 25 year lease. Hopefully there will be the importation of serious quantities of various rocks etc. Consequently we would love to hear what your favourite section is/would be. The area is not that big so very long rocky gullies would limit the total number of sections, and graded hillclimbs are not really viable. Help!

I'm not having any look here in the USA finding a set of Hutchin Trials Tires for my 8 yr old sons Gas Gas 50. It has a 2.50-16 front tire and a 3.00-14 rear tire. The Hutchin trials tires were really good, 2 ply and soft. MUCH better than these piece - o - crap 4 ply Cheg Shins on the bike now. We had a 1999 Beta Mini Trial, made by Trueba that had the Hutchin tires on it. We were really shocked when we bought this Gas Gas 50 and realized how bad these Cheg Shins are. Interestingly enough, I saw a new 2005 Gas Gas 50 at the Youth Nationals in Sequatchie, Tennessee, USA back in July, and it came with the Hutchin Trials tires. I've called Risin Sun, the Gas Gas parts im…

You know how people always say things like: Montesas are strongest by far but are really heavy, Gassers are good performance but are always falling apart, Shercos are good to but they fall apart too!!! im not saying any of these so please dont be offended! But are these things people say true, the way i see it, they must all be good enough or they wouldnt make them and they wouldnt sell and the choice really is just down to which the rider is most loyal with. Tha point of view is very stupid i supose but you see i wouldnt know anyway because i have a yam (curently for sale look in the classifieds). Are these true or just what people say to make there bike sound a helluva…

  17. Hi all: I have the chance to buy either a mint Gas Gas pro 2004 280 or a Sherco 2.9 2004, I couldnt test either due to seller restrictions (seller is far from my place where i live..), prices are similar... I havent decide yet what to buy... Some say the Pro still have reliability issues, but to my knowledge (correct me if Im wrong...) 2004 models have all this issues solved... others say Sherco is not so flickable as Gas Gas and is a bit underpowered and heavy compared to the Pro... is that true guys??? Hi guys, my dad has only just suggested this to me and i am still considering what i should do I was planning on getting a 2004 Beta next week, but my dad asked me if i would want the 05 model, he then asked me a real wacky question.. he said "how bout you wait until october holidays then ill get a towbar on the car and we will drive across to the factory in Spain and get the bike from there" at first i was liking the idea but now i realised that Beta is made in Italy. but does anyone know if there are any factories in Spain that sell brand new Betas and if it would be cheaper going over in the car to pick it up? any advise real soon would be great thanks Cheers guys…
