Was at the Motor Show yesterday. Dan Clarke was on as part of the live show - he did basic stuff in terms of Trials trick stuff, but the crowd seem to appreciate it. Wheelies, stoppies, flick turns etc. I think it was 6 quid for the live show. 45 mins of action, obviously mainly cars. Highlight was a chap putting a Honda 2000 soft top into a tight doughnut, casually climbing out of it whilst it was still spinning, then walking back and getting back in and driving off.

I've uploaded some pics to the gallery - see hrc1 albums etc. Three Englishmen made the long trek, 600 miles across France, to this the second best French trial. The going was all rocks 95% of which had enormous grip that caused probs for those of us more used to the slippery stuff (loop city here I come!) . Each day is about 60 - 70 km with lots of off-road and 25 sections. Day 3 is the big ride out 110 km with three petrol stops. Lunchtime is a 1 hour stop with a 4 course nosh-up - which is fine until you reach the first section of the afternoons run.........All of us got caught with odd time marks, it was never tight on time, but you just had none spare. I attempted…

Hey all, it was a great day here in southern California for Trials action. I thought maybe you might be interested in checking out some images. Between the two day's I'll probably take 700+ pics, so it'll take a week or so to load them all. Here's the link to my site. Click on Gallery and scroll down to the Trial de Espana...Enjoy.... I've just downloaded and read the user manual for the 04 Gasser. I don't know if other bikes have the same warranty restrictions but this one is good. "Obligation of the purchaser" "GG shall be entitled to refuse to accept warranty claims if and to the extent that:" "g) the vehicle has been used for competitions, races or any attempts at any record whatsoever." Now isn't that a great get out clause for a competition bike manufacturer?

Not good for trials if true With Honda Montesa releasing pictures of the new four-stroke, and the smaller companies facing an expensive task of keeping pace if the emissions ruling does become fact in 06, how will the smaller companies survive. The rumors going around the SSDT about Gas Gas investors pulling the plug and leaving the boss holding the baby in a large new factory need to be confirmed or denied before they turn into the rats leaving the sinking ship syndrome. Trials is too small and bad publicity about bikes even if it's only the local clubman with a sticking back brake the news gets around fast good or bad, can hurt sales more than we think. Is the pie …

I will be looking at getting a new bike in the near future & have a few questions. 1. How often do they require a rebuild? (I ride clubman level) 2. Longivity is important to me, which brand will last as well as my TY175? (2 & a half kids & a mortage, it will have to last & be reliable). 3. Which brand will be easy to get parts for in the future? 4. Which brand is best for servicing? 5. European or Japanese engine? 6. Steel or aluminimum frame? ( Is cracking a problem with alloy frames on trials bikes?) Thanks in advance for you imput. Hope this doesn't open a pandor's box Adrian

Hi everyone. Got some SIDI motocross boots a few weeks ago and have some questions to ask. I tried to ride in them for a bit, but compared to my old boots there was absolubtly no feeling in them at all. Iv'e been told that this is supposed like that, but I see the soles of everyone else's boots flexing a lot more than mine do. Are all trials boots like that, or is it because they are motocross boots. And finally, will they be ok to ride in once (If) I get used to them? Cheers, Pete

Hi guys, i have been given the ultimate incentive for my exams, if i pass them all my dad buys me a brand new 2005 bike of my choice and a trailer to go with it, im looking into a Sherco, but my fear is that the old man goes all out, buys me the bike and the main bearings go!!! if i bought the bike brand new and asked the company to fit new bearings in it before the bike is even trialed how much do you reckon it would cost??? Is there anything else i would need to watch out for on them??? Cheers Guys Chris

Anybody got any ideas on how to get enough observers at trials, because at the trials we attened they have a lack of observers especially at the youth trials. My son is to young to go round the trial by himself so what i do is take my wife and my daughter to observe and i help to set the trials out, clear up afterwards and be a comitee member. It always seems to be the same people observig week after week when there is plenty of other parents who just turn up and watch.

I'm thinking about replacing my Bieffe helmet. Hung it on the bars at the last meet, and the bike fell over. You guessed it...helmet got sandwiched between a rock and the bars. Has a nice deep gouge in the outside of the helmet and a neat circle and a gouge in the foam inside from the bar end and the clutch lever. Sure saved the bars though! So I'm thinking it's time to replace the lid. Had a Shoei first. Heavy and hot! Then I had an NZI before the Bieffe. Didn't like the NZI, cheap buckles that started rusting right away and the interior material fell apart in a hurry. Both the NZI and the Bieffe pinch the tops of my ears. Doesn't help that I wear glasses. …

Which trials bike do you think was the best bike of its time as in was it really revolutionary; the introduction of the monoshock, first 2 stroke, the first chasis less bike? Whatever your reason which one and why? Obviosuly owning one i think it was the 1984 Yamaha ty250 with the first mono-shock, but hopefuly your not all as selfish as me!!! Rich

The trials central trial on the 30th of May, is just before the majority of my final GCSE exams. I will not be allowed to ride tthe event, because I will be 'revising'! Did the organisers of the trials realise that such a clash was apparent, and our there any other 16 year olds out there about to take their GCSE's that also cannot ride the trials? Sorry just wondering thats all cheers from olly

The countdown has begun! The ringojet arrives in Minnesota on Friday and will not depart until Monday. Tours of the jet offered to females only. The team will be in full force [Ringo, Maximum, IronMan, Skull headed mother F***er, & the Godfather] Lock up your wifes but be sure to bring your daughters The only question is how many of you Canadian's think you'll be able to hang with Da Boys on Friday night? Of course I'll have to be somewhat mellow comparatively as the obsticles in a world round are slightly harder than what we're used to competing on over here. I've had plenty of practice on the Big Stuff since I've moved closer to Lucerne so I think I'll be …
