What ever happened to Freddie Crosset? I remember him winning two US National Championships back to back and I haven't heard his name mentioned since. He was a great rider and I enjoyed watching him ride at the US Nationals in Sequatchie. I was looking through some older Trials Competition Magazines last night and saw him winning everywhere back in '01 and '02. Where is he now?

Got my new Sherco, did'nt take time to get myself a set of fork protectors and what needed not to happen happened... dropped the bike on a sharp rock and dented on of the inner tubes of my fork. The seal is not leaking but I am wondering if I should try to reduce the sharpness of the dent or if I should not touch it. I suspect there is some kind of treatment on the fork so that it should not be sanded/filed... Any experience?

I'll be buying a trials bike soon and hoped I might get some good advice here before making my final choice. I'm a seasoned enduro/off-road racer of more than 30 years. I'm 48 years old (yesterday) stand 6'4" and weigh 180 lbs. with no gear. To date, I've been thinking Gas Gas 280 or 321, and will likely settle on a late model, used bike. First off, is there any particular brand that's any better suited for taller riders? Aside from the obvious condition of a bike, are there any "trials specific" issues to check for when inspecting a used trials bike? Besides dealer support, what other factors should I take into consideration? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I very much doubt it but has anyone had any experience with face masks for use whilst riding. Problem is where i go practicing is in a valley with heavy tree cover and because im practicing almost everyday i'm smoking my self-out and so I have a continous cough and bit of a lack of breathing and my mum who also worked this out accusing me of smoking. It is solved if i don't ride the bike for a couple of weeks so i have to get a mask of some sought. I was thinking of a mask like cyclists in citys use ( http://www.cyclestore.co.uk/itemviewer.asp...4&type=clothing ) and fixing some elastic to it and putting it around my helmet with tape like googles and can put on the to…

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I've had a hard time finding very much (if any) information regarding this topic. I know the top motocrossers get paid a LOT of money for what they do, and I guess rightly so, since they get a TON of TV and magazine coverage. That being said, I'm curious how much a professional trials rider usually makes during the course of a year. I know that there are endorsements and salaries paid by the sponsors, also what kind of money do they win at the National and International trials competitions?

Sometime ago someone other than Ishy and Wayne posted some pictures of their arena sections (may have been on that "other" bulletin board). I remember him saying something about flagging down a passing dump truck filled with boulders and asking if he could have them. Anybody remember who it was?

There are pictures and the 4 minute Geoff Aaron video on this site - Denali Torq Atak / Hench . At 140lbs and totally silent, electric sounds like a killer idea...if it could be perfected.

Ok seeing as its getting increasing difficult to ride anywhere near me now with the law all over us I have decided to go for my bike test and get something like a gas gas pampera or something for trail riding, plus the fact that i'm crap at trials riding anyway. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what sort of money my '98 gas gas tx270 would bring in good overall condition? and what sort of money decent pamperas are going for. I do love my bike but its a shame to see it sitting in the shed for around three weeks at a time without being ridden. regards superfly

A while back I saw a website with a great step by step design for crating a trials bike for transport, but of course, now that I am looking for it, I can't find it. Has anyone seen something like this or have any suggestions, or plans laying around? This would have to be a "made from scratch" crate.
