Hi everyone. Got some SIDI motocross boots a few weeks ago and have some questions to ask. I tried to ride in them for a bit, but compared to my old boots there was absolubtly no feeling in them at all. Iv'e been told that this is supposed like that, but I see the soles of everyone else's boots flexing a lot more than mine do. Are all trials boots like that, or is it because they are motocross boots. And finally, will they be ok to ride in once (If) I get used to them? Cheers, Pete

Hi Picked up a new Mont 4RT the other day. Yesterday I changed the oil filter and replaced the engine oil as per owners manual. Started the bike afterwards no problem. Just gone to start the bike again and can't get it going at all. Any ideas on what to try to get it going again? Cheers Muffin

Duck today again in my GG frontsuspension as i am not yet satisfied with its behavior. It seems that the adjuster on top for the rebound can't do its job as i feel i am missing a crucial part inside. The missing part is the aluminium rod that sits inside the cartridge pushrod. When i look at exploded views of the 2005 suspension the alu-rod is there but in the 2002 and 2003 views there is no. I am aware of the difference in brands but the suspension is more or less the same. Anyone out there who knows more about it. The problem is that the rebound is only working the last 30mm and i hope that with the alu-rod the whole stroke is tunable.

My Montesa 315 manual shows a tube type driver for installing the seals. Is this necessary or can I carefully tape it in by working all around in small increments? Maybe a narrow piece of wood to prevent damage?

First trial out on my brand new Raga and it falls off the stand (really) and dings the frame. Not badly but enough to really irritate me. So AFAIK these are the options: 1) Bodge it, fill in ding with araldite and cover with sticker. 2) grind off chrome, fill with brazing and re-spray black (as per 07 Raga?). 3) grind off chrome, fill with brazing rechrome frame ($$$$). 4) drill hole opposite, knock out ding, fill hole. Maybe re-chrome/respray if required. Any options I might have missed or suggestions?

Bought a Sherco that seems to be fitted with 40mm marzocchis but I'm not sure what the oil level should be. I did find a good reference site but I'm not sure what model of forks I have. The markings I see on the bottom of the fork legs are: M = looks like marzocchi logo 05 (in a circle with 12 segments) = manufacture date? MA130 = ? 1039 = --- Same M and 05 on the other leg but then MA131 = ? 1040 = ? Do these help identify the specific model of fork? There are loads of different model names listed for 2005 on http://marzocchiworkshop.blogspot.com/p/oil-quantitys-and-levels_858.html?m=1

I have posted this question in the Montesa forum also so i have posted here also so as to get balanced opinion. Sorry Andy i dont usually repeat in Forums. Can anyone tell me how many RPM's the 4RT revs to & how often it needs rebuilding. I am thinking of buying either an 08 Beta Rev 3 270 (so long as the stator problem is no more, ive been told its now sorted since enquiring) or a Montesa 4RT. I like the 4RT better but with its more complicated engine i am wondering about how often it will need a new top end and the comparative cost against the 2 stroker. My theory says that a low reving 2 stroke engine has got to be roughly about as reliable as a high reving …

I'm wondering what are some good online stores. I'm in Canada and a lot of the "cool" after market parts I can't get here. Any place that's got good reputation and selection that can ship to Canada would be nice . Oh yes, I'm mainly looking for parts for my beta rev3 08.

Hay, i have a Gas Gas 270, and its a brilliant bike any amount of power, really a bit too much for some occasions, but was thinking of a 125 for lightness and just a mess about bike and for smaller trials where the power isnt needed, but the question really was is it actually gonna be useful, im like 13 stone or something, i just figured they wouldnt have the poke sometimes for hill climbs? Cheers Chris

Hi, I'm building a C15 special. I've had to cut out the bottom of the fuel tank to accommodate the engine and there's no room for a petrol tank in the normal place, so I'm hoping to fit it under the seat. But I'll need to pump the petrol. Has anybody solved this sort of a problem before. Either using a Pulse Pump, or an electric pump. I've tried a pulse pump (from a chinese copy type bike), driven off the inlet manifold, but it didn't pump anything. If you've solved the problem, what specific pump did you use. With an electric pump is there a risk of creating too much pressure and flooding the carb ? Tony.

Thanks again to Jon "Lebowski"...... it seems I am thanking him a lot lately. More details in a moment. Since Tom has has shown what seems to be more than a passing interest in the Trials bike at home, riding my Scorpa a few times (Possibly because he will be 16 in October and wants to get onto a 50cc for school and general scooting about) What's in the garage: Madass 50cc After his first 15 minutes riding this was him. Next day by the 45 minute mark, more confident, but still cautious. At the weekend out at Hookwoods he had an objective to ride over a small log or stick which he did not reach after this little happening at the end of the day..... though the …
