  1. Hi there , At one of my local event I recently had a go on another bike with a fat bar conversion and it felt a lot roomier and better than my usual standard cross bar on my beta rev 3. Just wondering what is needed to covert to fat bar ? If so is it any worth it ? I'm looking at either a renthal fat bar or a jitsie fat bar Cheers P

I'm pleased to announce the addition of a new feature to Trials Central - The Trials Central Garage! This addition to the TC Forums allows you to show off your bike(s), upload pictures of it/them, describe them and detail and rate any modifications you have carried out. You may upload up to 3 images per modification with an unlimited number of modifications. You may create details of up to 50 bikes (it had to be that high to cater for Big John!) Anyone ever had the soles replaced on the Gaerne boots? Apparently replacement soles are available, yet I am wondering about what adhesive should be used. I did speak to a shoe repairman and he was a bit standoffish about the prospect?

I have hunted high and low on the internet for the dimensions of a 5F21 jet needle for a Mikuni carb. but with no success. I have been to every Mikuni and associated website that I can find and just about every other needle (but the 5F21) is listed. Has anyone got the dimensions for this jet needle? Many thanks.

How do you tell if a rear tyre is worn out? I have a Michelin X11 on the rear, you can just make out the cuts/lines in the top of the blocks, but the blocks have a 3 to 4 mm radius on the leading edge?

Good Day all, At the end of March I bought a TRS One RR 300 cc - 2023 new. I got a very good deal and visually it looks very well finished compared to the Vertigo ( Finish close to the GasGas ). I did not ride it yet as I am abroad fro business. Will be back this week and hopefully ride it in the week end. What are your thoughts / experiences on this bike, please? Thanks! Kasty

I've recently bought, and subsequently sold a TY250 Twinshock as I just can't be a***d with knackered old stuff anymore if I'm being honest, I should have spent a bit more on a decent bike to start with. So, I'm left with a dilemma, I really would like a modern mono (Mont 315r or Beta Rev3 250, Scorpa 250), what appeals is the newer technology, and hopefully having to do less to the bike than an old twinshock. But, I'd also like a bike I could ride for a bit of trails, or longer distances, around the farm etc, so what are my options in terms of using one of the above? As I see it, I could fit a buttrest (http://www.buttrest.co.uk/), and mini hebo tank to the forks, bu…

Guys can someone set me straight about loosing (or adding teeth) on sprockets. Are you better loosing teeth off the front sprocket or the back sproket to slow things down? What happens is I loose one or two off both? Cheers - Boner.

Being a member of the Green Mountain Plonkers Trials Club in Vermont, I have often been asked what does "plonkers" mean. Growing up as a kid in the late 60s and 70s I always understood plonkers to mean one of two things. 1) How a trials bike sounded as it crawled over rocks and obstacles and 2) The act of crawling or plonking over rocks and obstacles. Can anyone elaborate where the word derived from? Is it Spanish as in the Ossa Plonker?

Went to a trial the other day and sat in a few queues. No great problem with that except for the riders who think your not allowed to turn off your bike engine once the trial has started! A few sat with engines running in queues of 10 to 15 riders till it was their turn to ride. A rider said to me if it was a business the Health and Safety officials would of shut it down! I think if you want to top yourself exhaust gasses are quite effective! It might be an idea if the ACU had some guidelines or rules eg; Bikes should be turned off except when riding or just prior to you riding a section. Might save a bit of fuel as well. Mark T

Hi all , so I picked up my bike this weekend, am very pleased .. I have noticed that the previous owner is running 38 on the back and 9 on the front sprockets ... Im sure that standard for the TRS RR that its 40 and 10 .. I understand a little about gearing, but not 100% sure what is happening with this , I'm guessing that its lowered the top end and increased the low end response ?? is this correct, what would be the reasoning behind it be, what's achieved ?? Any info would be great .. Cheers . .

I have heard the montesa 4rt only has one problem finding grip. Is the new montesa 4rt any better at this because of the new mapping. At a local trials they said the grip was unbelieveable on the 2016 montesa 4rt cota. I was told by my local dealer the montesa 4rt arent good at climbing up muddy grassy mounds. The only other thing that is putting me of buying a montesa is the weight. I mean is it still easy to bouce it around. I know their is a lot of things you can do to improve your grip. But is it necessary with the new models and is the repsol worth the extra money over the standard cota. I have tried the cota and it was great. Many thanks
