I've got a old 1999 Bultaco Sherco 2.5 not been used in a few years but the fan doesn't seem to cut in. I've tested the fan separately and know that that works, I've also bypassed the temperature sensor but still the fan doesn't work. Apart from the fan not working everything else seems fine, although a little difficult to start (it's a Sherco so expected) it runs fine. Any help appreciated. Ian.

Found a pretty good deal on a 1999 gasgas 270 and wanted to know if it’s worth buying as a first bike or not. The only other trials bike I’ve ridden is a buddy’s 2006 sherco 290. are these bike considered “same generation” or is there big differences and upgrades in those 7 years? and can you get parts for the 99 gasgas? anything specific to look for in these models tht go out a lot? i am trying to stay on a budget with my first one so I’ve been looking at stuff around $3k or less And he’s asking $1900 and may have a little room it’s supposed to be in Mint condition

Couldn't get into the Dabbers Twinshock's round in Norfolk yesterday so my mate and myself shared a section, it was such a great experience all round. Great laugh with the guys (and girls) , all whom were very appreciative, learnt a lot just eyeballing the different skill levels regarding lines, section walking, body English, eyelines, seeing how a section changes over time, the amount of erm unrequested gardening that goes on and just how decently set up suspension makes things that much easier. Also got an idea at just how tough some of the calls are for the observer's too. Everyone should give it a go, ideally before ya first actual trial to see just how things work…

I guess this is asking a bit much for a Rover 200 but would buy any chance it be able to take a 2002 Beta 250 and a TY80. Read on a recent post about a rack Bernie Schreiber had for a corvette which was for two bikes.

Our trailer 'expired' on the way home from a trial yesterday. Luckily we got both bikes back to base safely but now we need a replacement. Has anybody got a reasonably priced one available for sale at the moment? in the Southern part of the country.

Hi folks I am returning to the sport after sometime(far too long) and I have just purchased a scorpa 163 4 stroke. In previous years I have always had 2 stoke machines and now I taken the leap I was wondering if anyone had any riding tips for riding a 4 stoke in comparison to the 2 stroke machines and what is the best fuel to use???

I don't use my bike ('89 TY 250R) as often as I'd like to, and it may not be used for up to 2 months at a time. Is it ok to leave the fuel in the tank for this long? Does 2 stroke mix 'go off', so to speak? and I've usually got 1/2 gallon of 2 stroke mix in a fuel can stored. Is this ok? Thanks for any advice.

I normally use fully synthetic Castrol ‘racing’ mixed at 80mil of oil to a gallon of fuel. I accidentally bought castrol 1 (not racing) is this still ok to use? It’s a 12 beta evo! Thanks.

I have done a search on the forum for details about the differences in 2 stroke oil and I understand that "you get what you pay for" and that fully synthetic is better than semi. But what I arent sure of is whether I should follow the Beta instructions for my 2006 250 Rev 3 and use 70ml of semi synthetic oil in 5 litres of petrol, or whether I should take on board peoples advice on the forum from other threads and use fully synthetic as it is supposed to be better stuff???

" Fully synthetic is fine for modern motors, not for our 50 year old ones. I think I have tried most, but have settled on Lucas semi sync. At around 32 to 1, that is 187 cc to 6 litres of fuel. I may be right, or wrong, but my motors run just fine at that. " This statement was posted in another forum, I asked for some evidence, or even a hair brained explanation, nothing !! I'm not sure the o p actually rides at all, who mixes up 6 litres of 2 stroke ? Is that overfilling a 5L can, or part filling a 10L can ? Anybody care to comment ?
