Been looking through the posts on his forum, interesting stuff, I hope that I will be able to contribute a little. A bit about me: Just bought my boy a Beta Rev50 a fantastic little machine!! took him with a friend to a fairly local practice area, he did really well, anyway due to the encouragement of this friend I have just bought myself a Sherco 250, this is my first trials bike after a 25 year break!! Yes I AM that old.....................

i have just started trials riding after a time doing enduro. instantly i find it to be more my thing! could not be any more fun and stress free. i ride a 1995 montesa 314 which is in good condition. some of the lads where i ride seem to think my bike is quite dated , would there be any advantage in me having a modern bike at this stage, or should i keep my bike for as long as it works well. john

Hey up all Im from Evesham in worcestershire, I ride a GSXR as my everyday transport but have very little off road experience and am quite keen on getting a bit muddy, it seems the only off road sport local to me is trials. Could anyone point me in the right direction for a complete beginner in trials and also how to find out about events local to me. Many thanks Brad

Hi there, just like to introduce myself. I've just bought my first trials bike, partly on a whim but i,ve always fancied having a go. Anyway I got a sherco 250(2000) as a project knowing that it needed the main bearings doing(will be posting in the correct area about this job). I live in the Newcastle area and will be looking for practice areas, hoping warden law is still open but will be looking for alternatives as well.

Hi, just found this site after looking for diagrams for front spindle on the Bultaco Sherpa 250 1971 (model 80) I have purchased. Never rode one of these as its nearly as old as me but always wanted one!!. Bike is a bit of a basket case but hopefully will be up and running again once I have sourced the missing bits I need. I have picked up a Clymer workshop manual but unfortunately it doesn't have blown up drawings of the front spindle, wondered if anyone can photograph or post a diagram of the layout of spacers etc for the front spindle as I,m scratching my head about what I,m missing.. cheers.. and really like the site! Martyn

Hi all, I've been hooked! I hadn't been on a bike for about 30 years but having watched some local club members (Bognor Regis & District MCC - all very friendly and welcoming) I took the plunge, joined the club and got a bike - 2007 Rev 3 270 (perfect choice for a beginners bike!) - Actually it seems quite rideable - I have the extra flywheel weight fitted, and a 10T front sprocket, and there appears to be a spacer between reeds and inlet, which I understand smooths things a little. I guess being 10 years old mellows things a bit as well. I've only done a bit of practice and part of a novice trial (which was a good lesson in falling off and getting back on - but…

Hi, hope someone can help, I'm currently working on my bike, and would like to know the correct grade of gearbox oil to use in it. The original manual says 900Ml of 10W / 30. Could someone advise what would be the right equivalent oil. Many thanks, Andy
