...I've decided to get on with sorting my M49 fuel tank just in-case it is slowly dissolving from the inside Question is....what is the BEST tank sealer to use? What have you lot used? What's the simplest to use? Notice I didn't mention the price. I'm thinking that these tanks deserve a decent job so I might it even paint it after it's sealed which should gime me the incentive to crack on with the rest P.S I've done a fair bit of homework on this and I'm leaning towards caswells, I just wondered what you guys have used and your experiences on the actual process. ...Also wondering where i actually get these type of things from/

...While waiting for the creswell tank sealing kit to arrive, I've washed it out and got it ready and then turned towards sorting out the carb. Not sure what the original carb would be on a M49 but this thing has got a very good condition Mikuni VM. Have no idea what size and have no idea how to find out the size. (?) ...Whilst giving it a good clean, I've noticed the tick over screw and spring are missing so another hick-up in getting it fired up. ...Two questions... How do I find out which Mikuni VM do i have? and, where do I look for a tick over screw and spring? ...I'm thinking Allens but is there anywhere else? ...Thanks in advance Oily

Anyone know if the original style rear brake cable that had a bend in it where it located into the swingarm is available from anywhere I know Hugh's Bultaco have a pattern with a bend in it but they are a last resort due to the import duty. I've only just been stung for some Barnett clutch plates from the US A far as I know only Venhill are available here but their cable doesn't have the bend and flexes far too much to get a decent pull on the brake arm. They refuse point blank to make me one to special order even though I can give them a pattern... really helpful, thanks a lot. The one I'm after is like this

Had a look at a Sherpa 250 that may be for sale. It's definitely an M80 Engine and has the Homerlite Tank/Seat Unit but the present owner believes it has a special Sammy Miller frame. The frame number starts HB 150****** but definitely has tubes under the engine. Is this an early version of a Hi-Boy or was it standard?

Hi guy's, New here and I last owned a triles bike (Bultaco) a few years ago now. I'm normally used to building big jap fours so this beasty shouldn't prove to troublesome EXCEPT sourcing parts. Just returned from fetching my new toy. A 1970 sherpa T that hasn't been started for at least 10 years. Bit of a state with a few bits missing but shouldn't take too long to get up and running then test it out before maybe pulling it apart and restoring it properly. First question of probably dozens over the next few weeks..... Where is the best place to obtain parts (new and s/h)? Thanks in advance
