I would have thought that enough people actually own a TR280 to have run into some issues or concerns by now? If so please share this with us. Best of balance. Neo

Only had my bike a week but I'm wanting to drop the gear oil and was wondering what is the amount of gear oil in the TR280i and is it ok to use ATFQ or is there a recommended oil? Bike is 2011. Cheers

Hi guys as title says really, looking to buy a 2011 280i and was wondering if there's anything I need to look out for specifically other than the normal stuff. Really need the help as I'm tossed up between the Ossa and a late gold frame Raga, so peoples opinions on that too would be welcome. Cheers in advance fella's.

Anybody else having troubles with your lights? My front light lasted about 20 minuets , the rear about 2 hours. They will both flicker on occasionally , it's in the LED it's self , power at the plug is steady. Have they fixed/updated them ?

  6. I want to lower the footpegs. The bottom of the pegs in the new position would be just above the skidpad level so the pegs will only be 1 1/2 or 2 inches lower. My question is about the affect this would have on operating the rear brake pedal. In the current position for the pegs, it seems like I am reaching down for the brake pedal but don't know if reaching up is good. Is there a way to modify the brake pedal. It is so well protected now. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All I am currently looking at an Ossa to buy, it's in pieces. Firstly I can not find a frame number. I'm told the frame is a 1972 Model. Please what is the location? I have two area's of concern. Is the skid plate available anywhere? On the off chance the magneto is no good. What are my opions and how much. Cheers

I got the OSSA World clutch springs that are softer than stock. Seems like I should be able simply just to replace one spring at a time with the primary cover off, readjust my clutch, and I'm on my way. I'm just checking to see if that method is fine. Thanks for any thoughts. Jim

Hi everybody, my queation for all you ossa experts is how much would you expect to pay for a 1981 250 Gripper. It is a runner but does require tidying up. Cheers HGGO.

Hi there guys, well i finally have my new 2012 TR280i in the garage,if it ever stops raining i will be able to take it for a ride.Anyway getting to the chase,i went to remove the rear wheel for a wee look and check the axle for lube, drooped the chain, removed the axle and proceeded to slide the rear wheel back and what do you know, the heads of the rear disc bolts catch the inside of the calliper assembley, am i missing something here,i have had many bikes over the last 30 years but have not had this before, surely you dont have to remove some disc bolts first? Peter.

Hi there guys, have just come back from my first outing on the new bike, all went well! Decided when i got home to drop the factory oil, removed the drain plug as per manual and got about 100mls out i guess, someone told me to just lay it over a touch to get the rest! HA;HA! Well i laid it right over on its side in the end, nothing until i stood it back upright then another 100 mls,so in total measured into a jug i managed to get 200mls (and it was over the sight glass from dealer). Not sure where they get 350mls from or where the rest is? I have put 250mls back and its way over the sight glass. So whats the trick to drain these suckers properly?? Peter.
