What after market footrests will fit my 280 ossa if any. Thank you

Hi there, Anyone know where i can get a spanner to adjust the spring on the rear shock. Don't like the idea of using a hammer and screwdriver or a hammer and a piece of wood! I find the rear shock really softens up too quick. I am not heavy <75 kg but find it bottoms out way too easy! Thanks

Anyone changed the rear sprocket ? I have been told that aftermarket 4 bolt sprockets need some sort of machining to fit ? what needs to be done ? Also anyone know if a 44 rear sprocket will fit onto a std chain ?

Hi Anyone know the front and rear suspension travel on the TR280i 2012, need to know it when setting sag and I cant find it in the manual.

Anyone else had their coolant turn to a grey colour? Doesn't appear to have oil in it, and there is no water in the engine oil - its just gone grey and looks horrible. I don't know if its just broken down or if the stuff in the bike has been eating the alloy? We've flushed it out and put fresh (good quality) coolant in there today and I will change it again in a week to be sure all the bad stuff is flushed out. I've emailed a photo of the coolant to the importer. Also anyone know at what point in the delivery chain would the coolant be added to the bike?

Anyone having/had a problem with there rear brake pedal ? mines been sticking on every now and then and i have pinned it down to the ball joint pin coming loose from the pedal which is allowing it to twist and catch on the frame which stops the brake from coming off fully jsp

Hi all !! My 350 Gripper (that I got about a year ago but havent done much with) has a loud engine. The noise seems to be coming mainly from inside the clutch cover but its difficult to say exactly. I opend up this side and have found that the primary chain is quite sloppy. I´m not sure if I could change this my self or if it´s to difficult. Maybe a chain tensioner for In motion would be the right choice as it hasn´t got one ? The othe thing that I noticed is that inside the clutch cover casing there are some very light score marks where the weight on the end of the crank has been rubbing on the cover. Its a bit quiet around here! On the advice of another forum member I've removed our flywheel covers to try and seal them a little better. Sure enough, both bikes had a little water in the bottom of them. There is no gasket but there is a lip on the lid for most of the cover except where the electrics come out. We're going to put some silicon on there to try and seal the cover up. While in there we've sprayed some innox to prevent rust. It does appear to be fairly poorly sealed. PS. Battery kit is going great on both bikes, no issues to report.

Help!! The fan on my '11 Tr280 has stopped working. I've put 12v direct to the fan and it works fine, i've tried bridging the wires that go to the temp switch in the head, but still no joy. I'm less than useless when it comes to electrics, can anybody point me in the right direction to find where the problem is?

Any news about the OSSA explorer in Europe? It wont be in North America until June. Just wondering if its out in Europe now, if any reviews, videos, etc. I have seen the CAD renderings, a few of the photos from the OSSA site, the various magazine articles based on the product literature. I am quite interested in this bike, as it is trials based, very light and they will try to make it street legal in north america. Thanks

Hi, back in the end of the 70s, I had an Ossa MAR? which had a yellow tank with a black stripe round it, similar to the MAR design, does anyone know who supplied them with a yellow tank? Thanks for looking. Dave

Before we start I am not posting this for any other reason than to understand how the fuel injection works, its not criticism and its not praise, I'm just interested. In the starting issues thread it was mentioned that the Ossa like a lot of two strokes needs to be revved from time to time to clear it out and this got me thinking. In a carb fuelled two stroke we have an inlet port and transfer ports. My limited understanding is that as the piston travels up this creates a vaccuum which sucks fuel mix into the cylinder below teh piston. When the piston returns this mix is forced out via the transfer ports and ends up on top of the piston. The problem with this is that so…

Has anyone yet determined if the Jitsie Ossa tr280 air filter is an addition to the regular filter, or a replacement? I have one and the dual foam filter looks like it could be meant as a replacement. At the very least it should make cleaning of the main filter less frequent as if it acts as a pre-filter it should catch 99% of the crap before it gets to the main. Sunlingkau, I think you also have one, what do you think of it, and do you run it as a pre-filter?
