I'm getting frustrated with boots... I've been riding in my motocross boots (Gaerne SG10's) which are great boots, and they don't really bother me much to ride trials in, but obviously walking around they aren't fantastic, as they weight about 5000 pounds each. So I ordered a pair of Sidi Trial Zero boots. They ended up being big, so I sent them back, and as I'd had better luck with Alpinestars in the past, I ordered some No Stops. They're the right size as far as length goes, but they're awfully tight on the top of the foot and the ankle... they remind me of the ice skates I hated to wear as a kid. How much are these going to loosen up? Because for the money, I reall…

Hi All, Any opinions on Hebo Eco trials boots? I currently have an old pair of Forma Boulders and want to replace them with something with a little more support for competing in Long Distance Trials and some light green laning. Thinking that the Hebo's look up to the job? Thanks Kev

I noticed a Japanese rider wearing boots just like the works riders, with the stitched on sole, so are they the new 2014 boot we can buy. I need a new pair soon (mine are getting a bit tired) and would rather wait for a new version if there is one.

I have a Clice soft shell jacket which was bought a couple of years ago but since I only ride occasionally (unfortunately due to work commitments) it has probably only been worn and subsequently washed no more than a dozen times. The problem is the zipped parts are not stitched to the coat but heat sealed which has now come apart from the shell in several areas. Has anyone else had this problem if so what did you do to fix it. Since it is more than a year old I have tried contacting Clice directly via their website and have just been ignored. For the price paid I would have thought it should have stood up to a lot more hard work than I have given it. The after sales …

Hi All, my Gaerne Balance "waterproof" boots are now letting in water. They are about 18mths old and I've treated them with Gaerne polish after every event but I think the issue is the folding membrane possibly at its base where the fold tucks are really tight. Anyone know if this membrane can be repaired or replaced? Ian E 06 Montesa 4RT 81 Ossa Gripper 350

Just wondering if anyone knows what the jitsie, mots or even normal gas gas gloves are like, obviously wont be as hard wearing if soft/thinner but id rather be comfortable. Cheers

  11. Good evening feet uppers ! This has probably been discussed time and time again but I would like to ask the community if anyone knows if its possible to get hold of early 80's Fantic Motor style clothing preferably Brema. I still have my old riding kit form the 80's but it's a bit rank and a bit uncomfortable compared to modern kit. (Photo is 1985 on a Michaud Replica 300)

  14. Hi guys, looking for some advice. Im new to riding and having a struggle with my boots. I have some Novogah boots which have a stiffening/protection strip running down the back, this ends just above my heel and during 2 hours riding yesterday I managed to chafe the skin off the backs of the ankles quite badly. Any solution? I was thinking about a piece of mudflap material or something but I would imagine I'd get some more sensible suggestions on here. Thanks in advance guys.

only a week off it officially being summer here in queensland, australia, and it's a sweat-fest already. still very new to trials so keen to find a good balance between protective gear and staying cool. currently have a vented trials helmet, standard mx pants, trials boots then a typical dirt riding jersey over elbow guards. i can't think of any improvements short of jumping in a nearby creek every 30 mins if it's available?

Dougies foot injury in the Scott and a similar injury to another rider I know got me thinking. More years ago than I care to admit I hit a boulder hidden in bracken on the Scott. Really hurt my foot, bent the gearlever and footrest. Although my foot went numb I was able to finish, no bones broken and no nails ripped off. I was wearing two pairs of thick socks and old fashioned boots which were much thicker (black) leather than the modern ones. Had I been wearing modern boots which have very thin leather i am sure my foot would have been much worse. Why are not thick leather boots available, preferably with plastic or steel protection for the front of the foot. If it …

I like to ride in the fall in winter seasons but have a mild form off artritis, so it is important for me to keep warm. Recently i've bought myself a pair off Kenny bagy trousers, i think it is called the Evasion model, and a Max equipe shirt, Wulffsport, over this i am using a Jitsie jacket. This combo is warm enough for the body as long as it stays dry, thats why impragnate it regularly with a fabric sealant. The problem is keeping my hands warm and dry and the feet warm, boots can be sealed with leather compound. Has anyone a tip for a pair off gloves that can be made waterproof and can keep the hands warm enough during a day off riding and waiting for a section? …
