I'm currently looking for some kids trials boots and all I seem to find is Wulfsport which look a bit chunky. Can anyone let me know what they're actually like for fitting and comfort please, or what other options there are?

Hi, After finally settling on buying some Gaerne Lorica trials boots online I would be interested to know what experience others have. Should I go for a size larger than normal to account for thicker socks. Obviously I won't be able to try them as there aren't any stockists local to me. I ride an old twinshock. Thanks for looking. Netley

Hi All, looking for some suggestions/guidance on trials trousers, a mate of mine has been riding in various forms of trousers, work jeans/overalls etc for the last 6 months while he decides whether or not he likes our hobby/sport. He does and wants to purchase some more appropriate kit, the issue he is having is with the trousers. He is not the most normal shaped of chaps, a little broad in the beam and short legs!!!!! as he puts it i am not the right shape for an all in one lycra suit!! can anyone recommend some makes and types of trouser, something good on the skin (no hideous seams or bits to chaffe!) breathable, waterproof and good value (cost being the least i…

As with the Wulfsport gloves I used these today at Corten in the cold and rain and wished I had bought them years ago. Size fits well too. I got the bottoms at Sports Direct in a sale for £4, usually £10, same as the top but even for £20 the pair great value as they do what say on the tin.

Been at Corten Trials Park today and it was cold, frost on ground when we left home. It also rained on and off all day. I bought some black Wulfsport neoprene trials gloves and this was the first time I used them. Toasty warm hands and fingers all day, thin enough not to notice them. I really suffer from the cold although on the plus side I can sit out in 42c all day lounging around. I bought large as my hands are 10cm across the palm and they fit correctly. Excellent purchase for £18, wish I'd bought some years ago. Tried everywhere for grey but not around in large and Wulfsport are dropping the grey according to my supplier...?

It looks like they might become compulsory/mandatory. Who makes them, which ones are recommended? I have one with one plate for the front (or back), for mountainbiking etc and some for MX and enduro but those are to big and hard for trial. But I think a backplate might be more usefull.

Why do I struggle so much with gloves? I never seem to find a pair that doesn't 'roll' in the palm of my hands, and I end up going without again because i can't get as good a feel as without them. Can you fine people recommend a good pair of gloves that give almost that 'shrink to the skin' feel?? Scott is coming!

After many months waiting for the release of the new alpinestars trials boots I finally got a pair I'm now very dissapionted After only two rides ( second trial in stream section)they've started to go funny on the side and the white leather effect is bubbling up on the side , looking like it's gonna peel off After nearly a week of contacting all the relative parties no solution or exchange is forth coming Not good for two ride old boots Funnily enough the stylmartin boots I purchased while waiting for the alpinestars have held up far better and been subject too all conditions I've heard rumours that there's been issues with the new boots but not confirmed yet

Hi there. I do a lot of different riding including road racing, trials and pottering around on an old 1969 Triumph Tiger100. I've always used a full race on the road, but I'm trying to work out whether a trials helmet is rated for road use. I'm very rarely over 60mph on the Triumph, but when trailing I'd be surprised if I go over 6mph. What's the view here? How do they rate these trials helmets? Are they ok for road riding? Thanks

Hey everyone quick question. I am a newbie and have been riding for last couple of months in my 20 year old Alpinestar tech 2 moto cross boots. I bought these when i had a couple of months in my twenties when i owned a crosser before someone nicked it from my garage and that was it for me and bikes until now LOL. I been advised by other riders to get some trials boots and i like the look of the Forma adventure trial boot. Anyone got any opinions on them? i seen a fair amount of info on here about the Forma Boulders but not the Adventures. Thanks for any advice , Matt

Bought some of these recently. Tested them when I rode out of a section and clipped the footpeg of a parked bike with my shin. It still hurt but no real damage. Best new product for a long time, highly recommended.

Hi all i have got hold of a couple of used Osets for my kids and they are loving it ! No fear and plenty of confidence LOL. I slightly more worried. I had them at the trials club today on a training day and they did well but couple of falls on rocks bashed knees/elbows led to tears then couple of minutes later back up and off again. They fine but i now thinking do they need knee/elbow protectors? Obviously they have helmets/boots/gloves. How do knee protectors work with boots? I knew to trials myself so maybe i just over worried ? Any advice from other parents would be great i don't want them to be wrapped up in cotton wool just want to be sure i doing right by them. Man…

Hello all...new to trials...read all I can on this here and other places and I'm looking for some help. I have the Gaerne Balance Oiled...great boots...but they are a little full in the cut...added insoles and that helped a bit but the question is do other brands fit smaller (not length), slimmer? I have read some make comments that the Sidi Trial Zero boots fit more snugly in the foot around the ankle and up the leg...if you have had several brands to include these please comment. I noticed some riders seem to wear there boots fairly loosely is that something people just have to tolerate based on the manufacturers middle of the road cut or is that a common trait with rid…
