Hi guys I'm new to trials, and wondering about safety gear.. Boots are number 1 priority for me. Used to ride MX bike and broke my ankle in couple places. After long time thinking decided to go for trial bike- looks safer.. I checked so many reviews for trial boots, but most of them state how flexible and comfortable they are.. Almost bought SIDI trial boots, but when I checked them in store, ankle area didn't look very supportive, looked so so flexible compare to mx boots. Maybe you can give me an advice from practice what boots give a bit more support for ankle? Or are they pretty much the same and every trial boot is so flexible? Also, what disadvantage …

After trawling through all the threads about 'Which Boot' to go for I have finally decided to try out the Novogar in Nabuk/Red. I am new to trials and have obviously no preference or anything to go by, meaning i would have to make a decision on recommendations and reviews alone. From what i could gather this is the conclusions I came up with in each brand. Gaerne - Top quality brand, really well made. The model choice is either: Oiled leather (

im sick of splashing petrol around from a cheap can like a chump, and was wondering if there is a decent product out there that suits trials bikes. I know the enduro/mx crowd are pretty well covered in this respect So, im wondering what everyone else uses, perhaps there's a particularly good fuel can out there?

My latest experiment. Read it on-line (so you know it’s true). Spray helmet with vodka after a ride. So far it seems to work. Doesn’t degrade the foam and is readily available. No information yet if expensive vodka works better or if flavored makes for a better smelling helmet. Lemon might be nice.

Afternoon all. Anyone know if you have Gaerne boots re-soled? I've got a fairly young set that have got a hole in the sole. I seem to remember someone advertising re-soleing boots on eBay but can't find it anymore???

I've just bought myself a Gopro to film my fails (and the odd good thing hopefully!) :-) I'd like to mount it on my helmet ideally but the peak of my helmet would be very much in the way of a helmet strap. My question is; what is the actual purpose of a peak on a trials helmet? I could simply remove it and it would make fitting the Gopro much easier. If the only purpose of a peak is to keep sunlight out of my eyes, I'm sure I'll manage just fine without it, especially here in the UK!! Anyone got anything to add about its purpose?

I'm new to trials. I need a new tube for my front wheel. On my enduro bikes, I run Heavy Duty. What do most folks run on trials bikes? my guess is that since everything on a trials bike is light, that folks don't use the heavier tubes. Is this right?

Anyone use one? I've been wearing an old hebo lid for a few years and now it's time for a new one. I purchased an airoh trr which looked and felt amazing but only had it in my price range in a large. It Was a little big on me so sold it on and now ordered a jitsie kroko. Hopefully I won't be disappointed!
