Sorry i didnt post this yesterday. Saw the new 4RT at the Dirt Bike show on sunday. What a poor effort by Montesa!!!! They havent finished the bike - its like a half effort... See the Gas Gas's - all nicely co-ordinated red and black - look fab IMHO. Someones spent time getting it right. Then see the half baked 4RT... they must have spent 2 mins thinking it through... "lets paint the frame shiny black... then do f**k all else to blend the frame in".. jeez what an ugly bike. "lets not bother with forks, fork clamps, engine cover, brake protector, exhaust shield, air box and exhaust cover.... or even the handlebars for that matter... lets leave them all standard" "b…

Hey guys, Just fitted new tyres - and when putting the rear wheel back on i noticed that even with the bolts tight, if you grap the tyre and push/pull you get a minute amount of "play" - you can see that its around where those two metal rings that fit between the frame and the wheel itself. Is this normal or have i got a bearing on its way out? I assume you can get them fixed or is it a new wheel? Cheers Jza

Thinking of purchasing an 04 250cc Montesa 315R. Does anyone have any tips on what to look out for when buying one of these. Any other pros and cons with this bike? Thanks in advance WRC

As the title suggests - Two TC regulars have crossed over to the other side???I was just wondering....... If you're out there fellas ,can you tell us( in your own time) why you changed and what you make of the 4rt compared to your previous 2-st steeds? I am not knocking or judging--- just nosey. And so begins a new chapter. Doug moving to Beta is a huge loss to the Montesa HRC Team, who just won't be the same without him. However we all move on and I am throughly pleased that Doug is continuing to ride at the highest level of the sport. A true ambassador for the sport and a true champion. Let hope the change in factories might just result in the 100th round win and a 8th WTC title. As a Montesa rider I thank Doug for his achievements at Montesa and wish him all the best with Beta. Viva Dougie Lampkin! PS. We've still got Dibs and Wiggy so alls not lost.

Been out on the bike today was having trouble getting it to tick over, and when hot needed to put on the choke to start again. The bike in question is a Montesa 311 still had plenty of power when running any ideas the carb looks a nightmare to take out and clean. Hopefully there is a trick to taking them out, can anyone help?

I`ve been looking at these for a while now, and a bloke I know has had some fitted. but I havent seen him to ask what they are like. have any of you had them fitted to a 315r .....do they do the job?...are they worth the money? Link

Hi just looking for an idea on why my fan is not working??. I phoned main dealer and the mechanic said he had never had any faults with them, only perhaps the relay was disconected but apart from this gave no other insite?. The relay is good and is where it should be!!!. Does anyone have any ideas?? Also can anyone confirm where and home many restrictors there are in the exhaust? And what are the advantages of removal? The bike is an 06 and has been used for 1 hour so she is new!! Thanks in advance Scott

hi all this may be a stuid question but when i am riding the kick start keeps opening up to the starting position. i chequed all the screws and all is tight. has any one else had this problem? max

Hi,went to the Dirt Bike show yest,i was looking at some Pro taper bars,but couldn't work out if they would fit an 03 315r,any thoughts? Also anyone out there tried an aftermarket silencer on one of these?i've got a patch worn through on mine.Cheers
