Hi - if you search the forums will be in more detail but basically I think its an emission thing or environment thing. If you dump the tank you can blanks off the hole in the air box which stops any excess oil gathering in ther.

Also the fan relay mounted below the Throttle Body can now be placed up out of harms way behind the head stock where the little tank came from.

I then put a small in line fuel filter on the end of the pipe from the engine to the now removed tank and again tuck up in the head stock. The tank and pipe to airbox can now be stored away until you sell the bike and present the new owner with a box of bits he is never going to use again either   ?

Worth getting one of the little button fuel cap breathers and dumping all the vents and pipes that come as standard - get the flush fit ones.

Honda genuine bits can be good value so don't be afraid to look there first. 315r bits are also common/interchangeable ie swing arm/linkage wheels etc

Are those fuel cap breathers really waterproof?

@ jimmyl: Our "Mainland Europe"" Models dont have the map switch, we must pinout the white and green cabel for full power (because they must be streetlegal when sold). We compared it to a 2015 Model last year and we found that the 2017 is a little bit better on the throttel response, but nothing seriously.

@ sportsawyer: Thanks for the Info! yes we pulled the fenders down and I think this was exactly the same but I will check this week. BTW Do you have a Parts Manual for the 2017 Modell, I only got the old one (2014). Do you have a link to this or can you mail it to me?

    Thanks

Is it only on bikes that dont have the map switch  that you have to pinout the white/green cable? I have 300RR with map switch but dont feel any diffrent between 1or 2 mode. Which is full power mode?

  3. mcbou! What rim is it that you use from your Gasser. Morad or DID? Im trying to fit my old DID rim from a Gasser to my 2016 Standard Montesa but it dont fit well. / Warn

I've been running x-lite on my 14 for good few months now and had no bother, even few road trials thrown in. I'm using a rear wheel from an '11 gasser for practice wheel and fits perfect if you run the Montesa spacer on sprocket side and gasser spacer on the disc side.
