  7. Heillancoo, had my mate Tetley roond last night and got talking about the kickstart style trial at Bonnyrigg. He remembers the longest wheelie comp.He thinks late 70's early 80's and Les Winthrop was the top rider, cheers the noo Brian
  8. Does anyone remember back in the day when during the Bonnyrigg Civic week they had a Kickstart style competition in the park .Was in the seventies and they used the adventure playground area .Was just a bairn at the time. cheers the noo Brian
  9. A good day had by one and all at the Haggis today.Didn't spend too much, managed to get a spare C15 frame which I can attack with the angle grinder and welding gear.Great to catch up with auld friends. cheers the noo Brian
  10. The Haggis this year will be on the 2nd of February at Lanark Market (ML11 9AX).A great day oot to catch up with friends and buy bits for your bike or buy another project.Always a good mix of bikes/parts for sale-old and new.So pencil it in your diary-starts about 9.30/10 a.m. cheers the noo Brian
  11. Charlie, love riding the bike makes me smile everytime I'm out on it.I'm not the greatest trials rider in the world(left it a bit late to start) enjoy what sections I clean.Love the noise.Had a modern bike when first got into trials (Scorpa SY250) couldn't do the bike justice. The great thing about the Ceefer it has character and its called "ALF". cheers the noo Brian
  12. Braw !!!!!!,a thing of beauty .Thanks for posting the foti. cheers the noo Brian
  13. Got my letter yesterday, unsuccessful. Was my first attempt at trying to get a run oot so not too fussed. Will be up watching all the same. cheers the noo Brian
  14. Problem solved ,found out what was causing the problem. The kickstart return spring retaining screw holds a stop plate on the inner cover never noticed it had fell out. the stop plate was lying at the back of the gearbox. The screw was never tight and I thought it was stripped in the cover.Lesson learned . cheers the noo Brian
  15. Hi Davetom with the bike on the paddock stand and wheel in the air it locks up,I can turn the wheel forwards but not backwards, think it has something to do with the kickstart pawl as its on the end of 1st gear. cheers the noo Brian
  16. Up the shed tonight, checked the gearbox and shift all seems ok. Can anyone with a C15(dizzy motor) see if they can have the bike in gear(1st will do) work the clutch and see if the bike can be pushed backwards in gear with the clutch in(freewheel).Mines locks up trying to do this(never noticed this before and not good if stuck on a section). They may all do this ?????? cheers the noo Brian
  17. Had a good run round today on the auld TY.Cracking sections, big thank you to all involved with running the trial and the observers.Well worth the run doon. cheers the noo Brian
  18. Will have a look at that first. cheers the noo Brian
  19. Ross,no problem in neutral. It only happens when in gear and trying to manoeuvre the bike backwards with the clutch in.The only thing I thought it might be is the kick start as its on the end of the transmission. I'll strip the outer casing off tomorrow and have a look. Are you going to Drumcarrow on Sunday? cheers the noo Brian
  20. Riding round the garden today on the C15 and had to reverse the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in and it wouldn't go backwards unless it was in neutral. The clutch is fine and clears all the gears,is this normal????.I have never noticed this before (recently changed gearbox camplate with upgraded part, gear change is fine),could it be something to do with the kickstart/pawl as it's action now seems further forward than it used to be. cheers the noo Brian
  21. Going up on Friday to help lay oot the sections .Its all on the dry side with a few new sections aswell as some tweaked old ones.Trial starts at 10.30 on Saturday (Breakfast 9.30 "Breagh ") cheers the noo Brian
