  2. According to the bible(Rupert Ratio) the bearing is a 6305.Simply Bearings have a good selection of bearings at realistic prices.I fitted a smaller primary sprocket so had to take a bit of the crankcases and instead of fitting a seal I used a sealed bearing and removed the seal nearest the crank. cheers the noo Brian
  3. This years annual Haggis Auto jumble is on the 3rd of February at Lanark Market.Always a good doo, plenty of bargains to be had, cheers the noo Brian
  4. The Lothian Trials Club has just released its dates for this year- April 14th,June 15th/16th(2 day ),September 1st and November 9th(Saturday) all held at Kidlaw,Gifford. For more details about the Lothians Trials Club visit their website. cheers the noo Brian
  5. Jim,on Alf my C15 I have a bantam/cub rear hub fitted with a Talon sprocket(Sammy Miller Products),I used the old steel sprocket as a spacer and bored the hub out and used 6mm stainless bolts and nylocs to retain the sprocket. cheers the noo Brian
  6. Quick update on the front brake.Worked a treat,no problems, great trial yesterday the auld TY went well. Thanks for all the advice. cheers the noo Brian
  7. Stripped the front brake out today, gave the drum and shoes a rub down with emery paper(a wee bit rusty),cleaned and lubed the pivot.Put it back together and centralized the shoes. Rode it round the garden and no lock ups will see how it goes on Boxing day. cheers the noo Brian
  8. Andy M, its a standard brake, will strip it out and give it a good clean then centralize it. cheers the noo Brian
  9. Was out getting the TY ready for Boxing Day and riding round the garden and after using the front brake the front would lock up with the brake lever released and the lever was solid. Then the next time I used it the lever was fine,it has done this previously at events but has never locked the wheel before. It has a brand new cable and the shoes are good(could the drum be worn needing over- sized shoes).Any ideas ??? cheers the noo Brian
  10. Had a wee look at this years calender Don't know if any events where cancelled but the numbers are 11 MX,32+ Trials(probably nearer 40),12 Road Race,14 Enduro/hare and hound and 8 Quads. The number of trials in Scotland is nearly the same as the other disiplines put together, think that's why most riders are a bit peeved with whats happening. cheers the noo Brian
  11. Hi there I got the carb. from Amal.I phoned them to order the carb. and spoke to a really helpful bloke who sorted out the jetting as they have loads of info concerning carburation,Fitted the carb and it only needed a slight adjustment.Think I've got it noted somewhere I'll have a look and if I find them I'll let you know. cheers the noo Brian
  12. Well that's Alf's year finished, finished his last trial today.Nearly managed a full trial but the chain came off on the middle of the last section on the last lap.I couldn't see anything obvious to cause this apart from a build up of muck around the front sprocket? I don't run a chain guard would this help stop some of the muck getting trapped ? Alignment is ok/tension ok and its new chain and sprockets anybody had anything similar? cheers the noo Brian
  13. Most clubs charge £6 for club trials, think £2.50 for insurance then the price of a permit, then pay the land owner in some cases, doesn't leave much.Only the big clubs(multi- discipline e.g. road race due to gate money and other income raised by high entry fees) will be able to absorb some of the the cost. cheers the noo Brian
  14. OTF, I ride both S.A.C.U. and AMCA events and guess what they are both the same in some cases the AMCA events are more relaxed/friendly=fun. cheers the noo Brian
  15. The new licence fee is £34.99(inclusive of an £8 for riders personal accident insurance) bonus as last the licence was £43,Then we get hit for a £5 levy per rider per event . cheers the noo Brian
  16. Ross, now you have to pay a £5 Tax to do your hobby.People will try to tell you that it might make little difference but you will still have to pay the Levy(tax). That's all disciplines so over the year that's quite a bit extra going to the SACU. What's the score with riders in England? cheers the noo Brian
  17. Until tam gets a date sorted out don't forget Hoggy's Trial(Lothian Trials Club) on the 10th of November up at Kidlaw(that's a Saturday).Always a good lap and well suited to twinshock/Pre 65.For more details and directions go on the Lothian Trials Club website or the calender on the trials central homepage. cheers the noo Brian
  18. It on the road to St Mary's Loch. cheers the noo Brian
  19. Was up with Tam yesterday to look at the new ground near Moffat.Cracking bit of ground, its like Kinlochleven meets Alvie. It'll be well worth the effort to get there. Moffat is in Dumfries and Galloway not far from the M74 and the ground is about 5 miles south east of Moffat. Beautiful gullies with something for everyone,so all going well and Tam gets the date get the bike out for its last blast of the year, before the long dark nights set in. cheers the noo Brian

  22. Cracking trial yesterday at Hume.Excellent sections all do able, all challenging, well flagged out and a decent lap. What more could you ask for.Its a shame that Tam got a small entry(where are all the riders from Tam's first trial?,I know the 2 day was on a Fintry).Looking forward to Tam's next trial.Lets hope more riders turn up and show support for Tam's next trial. cheers the noo Brian
  23. Had a good ride out on Sunday my first proper blast on Alf,raising the engine has made a massive difference also new carb. has made it perform alot better.Had a big score but mainly due to missing out a few sections and a couple of wee hic-ups. The rear shocks are solid so new ones will be fitted for my next outing.Charlie thanks for your offer of assistance. cheers the noo Brian
