when you getting your new gasser mate? will you be on it at the next waterside trial. You got a good price for your 250 then. I might rebuild the tlr200 in the winter and respray the engine make her look even better James

didnt realise you were on here have you just joined up? I should be on it at the next trial on the 15 th may, just tidyed the swinging arm up on the back rubbed it down and a fresh coat of paint . And the silencer is very highly polished now Just after some sprockets now. I got some new brake shoes , fork seals and clutch cable off ebay cheap. James

yeh head stock is fine now it was just lose and needed tighting. Just need to sort out the chain and sprockets. Thats funny that i paid

im sure there is spose to be a spacer as when the sprocket is on theres like a gap of 0.5cm at the side of it, maybe a bit more or less. James

I think if i rember the 200 pro is only like 174cc or sumin like that . Why call it a 200 when its no where near James

Hi, On my tlr 200 i have noticed that the front sprocket can travel alot on the shaft either way. The chain has been rubbing on the engine casing aswell, is there spose to be a spacer away from the casing on the shaft behind the sproket?? Where can i get one?? Also where can i get the rubber bushes for the rear sprocket?? James

Another big step i would try is repacking the exhaust. This happened on my dads 1996 Beta Techno is was really smokey. As we would turn it off it would take a few kicks to start again and the exhaust was still smoking abit while it was turned off. So we took it back to the car and took the end of the silencer off, to find boiling hot smoldering exhaust packing. (the packing had got very oiled up and started to smolder with the heat) So fo the rest of the trial we ran it with out any packing in, just a bit noisie. This could also be fouling you plug if the smokes traveling back down to the engine after you kill it. Please tell us what the problem is when you sort it. But you may aswell repack you exhaust if it has not been done for a while its only like

I have ordered a new set of brake pads and fork seals. I may think about saving up for a tank seat unit. The paint work on the engine is a bit tatty you cant see it all in the pic but i might respray it in the winter. I am going to take the swinging arm out soon and give that a fresh coat of paint. The wes pipe polishes up nice but has one small repair done on the back where the wheel has rubbed through at some point not to bad. If there any noises to look out for on the motor? Just out of intrest. it also has recently just had a new slide in the carb and jets etc. James

yeh they have been changed at some point The gold ones tend to corrode so thats probably why. James

so you dont need a special tool to get down the fork like on the Yamaha ty 250 monos where we had to make a hex on the end on a long bar to go down the tube. James

do tlr200's have matching frame and engine numbers? Did they make engines quicker than frames at one point so the numbers did not match. Cheers James
