  1. It will be interesting to see what it sells for as the true value of something is what someone is willing to pay for it. There were two bids cancelled by the seller for £120,000 and £150,000 for being unrealistic time wasters.
  2. Hi Andy, As far as i know, Birchwood farm shatterford is always open unless they are hosting a trial, they charge
  3. My Rev 3`s brakes had a lot of play in the front and rear discs. They used to clunk when i applied the brakes. I replaced the top hat washers and springs and they are now like new. Got the parts from trials and tribulations mail order. Regards Mike
  4. Looks like the original number has been ground down and new numbers stamped in.I was talking to a guy in a bike shop a few weeks ago and he seemed to think that the police don't record a bike as stolen with dvla unless its road registered. They keep a log of the frame number etc at the station its reported to but there is no national database as they are just considered to be "toys". Don't know how true that is but he seemed to have plenty of experience with this as his shop dealt mostly in motorcross bikes and they are probably stolen more often due to the numbers involved. Maybe someone in the know could shed some light on this. Mike
  5. I used a socket that was slightly smaller than the diameter of the bearings and hit that with a hammer. I think i gave them a good soaking with WD40 first though. I don't remember them being too tight though, mainly held in by rust and crud. Good luck Mike
  6. Had a look today and you were right the weld has cracked. What a s**t design!! I'll have to try and get someone to weld it for me. Thanks for the pointers, much appreciated. Cheers Mike
  7. Thanks for that guys, i'll have a look at that tomorrow.
  8. Hi all, I have a 2003 rev3 250. Whilst cleaning and greasing the kickstart ball bearing and spring the other day, I noticed a small amount of "slop" in the splines for the kickstart. The securing bolt is tight so i guess its just the splines wearing down. Is it possible to buy just the splined part or do I need to buy a complete kickstart assembly which is quite expensive? There is only a small amount of play but these things have a habbit of getting progressively worse untill they fail , or is it normal?? Has anyone else had this problem and just left it? Cheers Mike
  9. Probably a stupid question , but, on average, how long does a full fuel tank last on different types of trials bikes?
  10. Hi just wanted to say hello. I have been thinking of getting into trials bikes for a little while now, but info on the net seems a bit scarce for clubs in the birmingham area (if there are any). Anyone know of any clubs reasonably local to me? I guess everyone likes to keep their practice areas secret. I have had my bike licence for about five years and currently ride a suzuki gsxr600 when i get the time. I have never done any trials bike stuff before but have watched a bit on you tube etc and it looks great. I havent bought a bike yet but have seen a few gas gas txt 250's and 300's on ebay etc. Any recomendations ?? Ideally i would like to join a club and try a few bikes before buying. Finally does anyone know of any farms or quarries where you can pay a fee to use their land to practice in my surrounding area? Cheers Mike
