  1. I had a Gasgas but i never got along with it and gearbox issues p****d me off.Would recommend only 2 bikes that are designed to last more than 1 season. The SY 250 or a 2004 Montesa Cota 315.

    Tyz New To Me

Hi. Excellent bike you have purchased. The engine in your bike is the same as a Scorpa SY 250 which has been in production from 2000.I know a guy who has a 1995 TYZ and my Scorpa engine looks identical parked next to his bike.My clutch cover was holed by a rock and when i took it off to get it alloy welded this was the easiest bike to work on ive ever had.Get into it and seperate the clutch plates so you can get out and RIDE.
  3. Hi.Ive owned VW vans for 7 years and they are the best. Many people overlook the quality because they are ugly and boring. The turbo diesels are fast and mine does 40 mpg. Also vans ruin tyres as well so rotate them every 10 000 km and check the pressures all the time.
  4. Hi Coldcake. The trials shop i dealt with had an 05 sherco 290 in stock. They said it would be to much like my 04 raga 300 to ride and i would be no better off.Go and get the scorpa and enjoy riding it.
  5. Finally got a decent ride on my bike after being so busy at work. This is the first time i felt i was in control of a trials bike and it was a fun day.Smooth power that gets traction is confidence inspiring for a learner. The brakes are good and the suspension tracked the ground well and didnt go off the chosen line.Mine is a UK spec one which is good for our type of riding.Im happy and can say most people will like them. Our countrys best rider chooses to ride one so its only a matter of skill from this point. Why is the Scorpa site so quiet compared to the other ones. Are there only GG out there or are Scorpas so reliable we dont need to talk about them ???
  6. Hi Scorpa3 What an easy to ride bike. Its suspension sticks to the ground and stays on line. The motor purrs like a pussy cat and i can learn to live with the imprecise gearbox. It also seems easier to balance as well.Im happy and cant wait to ride again.
  7. After 1 year struggling with my previous bike it was time to change and a Scorpa will do the job nicely.I like the idea of an exhaust that wont burn my leg and no suspension linkages to grease. The handlebars are higher as well.Ill do more testing this weekend and post more info.
  8. Hi Mostar. If your RR has a special plate with the number 378 on it then i used to own it.Brendon tells me you are an expert rider and i hope you enjoy every minute riding it because it was to responsive for me especially in the wet.
  9. Please tell me the differences between 01 & 04 315 bikes.I have the option to get either one and need your expert advice to help this decision. This website has been a great help as most people are not biased and are genuine.Thanks..
  10. The rear tyre leaks on my bike and your advice on how a tube(heavy duty)would survive in that enviroment would be appreciated.Looking at the forum archives on this topic with grease and silicone has me looking for a cleaner solution.
  11. Thanks for your guys help. The wiring diagram was exactly right and it went back together perfectly. My toy lives again. Now i have a pile of wiring looms and road legal gear sitting in a drawer.
  12. I have a 04 Raga and have removed all the road legal wiring looms etc.Could one of you GasGas experts please advise me on how to fit a kill switch. Thanks for any advice.
  13. Thanks Nickerlias for your response. Can you explain what type of curve the lower curve is.For example is it about 30% less throttle response ????? More top end?? slower midrange??? THANKS.
  14. How do you adjust the ignition to ride different terrains.Ive had so many varied answers i am confused if it can be changed or not?Can i buy the gear and do it myself ?HELP ME PLEASE...............................................
