  1. There's a club trial at Earl Shilton Trials club on Sunday 1st April.

Why not come and have a look and get a feel for whats what.

Or you could join on the day and just have a go.

Very friendly club, that also runs monthly training days at a very reasonable cost which are a great help.

Club membership for practice is also available at the ground

Well yes it dose  Why go to a TRIAL which is ONLY a  competitive sport then ?    you what a non competitive environment WHY go a trial  or do you expect to go to a trial and play/trail about  on your bike thats not trials or have you found out as a hobby rider you have no were to go to ride (which could be more of the truth)   Sorry but the nature of the sport and what it is about dose preclude it from being non competitive

That's like saying you can't buy a football because you only want a kick about and aren't interested in joining the local team.

Lots of people enjoy their bikes and riding for what it is (supposed to be) ...fun and relaxation!

You sound like your going to start press ganging people as your next step.

It may be worth listening to what the people that don't come to trials have to say rather than telling them their just wrong.

i'ld like to spend ages and write a real *long* reply on this whole thread but haven't the time

on this point specifically, we've had the ACU build an online entry system and have had it running for four years now - you pay online, secure, and then you turn up on the day verify you are you and sign on and go. as to how you roll this system out to clubs, to get them to use it, that is a challenge but broadly speaking we've built a system to do it all and its ready for clubs to use.

Yes and it works great bar a couple of little glitches, but not many organisers use it unfortunately

  4. Hi everyone,

Is there any alternatives to the standard rear mudguards for a late model Rev 3.

Maybe fitting one from another bike etc?

Its a late model 2008 and I really really don't want to pay £100+ for a rear mudguard.

'Ive spent a lot of time giving the old girl a tidy up and an engine rebuild and was hoping to fit new plastics.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks all :-)

  5. That looks great, that would be a real big step towards solving the issues of directing people to venues.

I have been asked how to get to Hawks nest so many times, very difficult to explain -- now you just need to download the app and go to facing.underline.valid

I really like this idea, check it out

  6. Does anyone know what colour / type of paint to use on the beta engines?

Im thinking of the greeny grey crankcase colour.

Mines peeling off a lot underneath and wanted to tidy it up a bit.

I have no idea if its not black - hence asking the question!

    Thank all.

  7. Can anyone tell me the size of the mains and seals I need to order for a 2008 Rev 3 250.

Mine are getting evermore grumbly - but I'd like to get all the parts ready to hand before strip the bike.

Just seen the prices on the importer site .. ouch!

    Thanks

  8. It is a very snug fit, that was my problem. Ill do a V/notch on the next change. Thanks for the help.

mate have a look at the link to that vid I posted on the trials uk site .. you only need a drift and a hammer and coin the right size - 1p piece ... cheap as chips and works ... simples :icon_salut:

  9. I agree with all the above, great for safety and protecting yourself from the engine going bang.

We have had incidents of them getting pulled off by the undergrowth mid section though which is a bugger.

I have also seen someone get shot in the eye with one during a bail out.

Had trouble finding his bike then had to ride with only one eye cos the kid couldn't see owt !!
