I found on my 2012 290 that the nipple in the Reed case leaked causing the fuel pump to not work correctly ( i.e. the mixture leaned out , which made the throttle like an on /off switch with not a lot of modulation.also it was a pain in the a** to start. the old nipple was cut down and drilled out and a new nipple fitted , after this was done the carb needle was dropped a couple off clicks as it was over fuelling, the bike is now a totally different machine so controllable . I have Chris at Splat shop to thank for diagnostic , Rob , how are you finding the 2015 300 compared to your 2012 290?

I know what you mean about fitness, I do single track and downhill mountain biking. I find trials motorbiking takes a lot more energy, you have just reminded me I have a trials bicycle in the garage, so I think I'll follow your lead and start using it again.

As anyone got the 2014 290, who does it compare to the 300 or 2012 290 ?

Ilovetrials, how does the power delivery compare from your Sherco to the Jotagas i.e. on my Sherco the delivery is sharp and comes in quick" , as I said I rode 2014 beta 300 the weekend and that was really smooth throughout the range and was never out of your hands.

Thanks for the feedback, what is power delivery like ? The reason I ask is that I rode a Beta 300 2014 at the weekend and the delivery was so smooth and never out of your hands , whereas on the Sherco the delivery can be brutal

Can anyone tell me the position for on/reserve and off for 2012 290, 1 was told (BVM) down was on but the bike will not start! moved it forward and it started so is down off? sorry for the daft question

I have tried, locktons motorsport - they only cover clubs and not individuals . - waiting for Doodson to get back to me .they are asking there under writers

Hi , I have found a local practice area , but the land owner requires personal liability insurance, I have tried my insurance broker but no luck. has anyone obtained P: L insurance and from where thanks Dave
