  1. Thanks for your suggestions guys, I am embarrassed to tell you I have solved the problem, I thought I had lost the spacer so ordered a replacement which I was trying to fit but looking again with more time and checking the handbook again I realized that the spacer is not required on the Tech forks !?.I have now reassembled without the spacer - Happy Days ! I am now off to lie down in a darkened room ?
  2. I have tried the spindle without the wheel and it fits ok,l will have a better look today when I have more time ,cheers
  3. I have just replaced the head bearings on my 2014 4RT and I can't get the front wheel spindle to line up properly it screws in so far then goes really tight I don't want to force it. Have I missed something ? I have tried loosening all the bolts holding the forks. Is there any easy way to line everything up ? I have never had problem when working on many different makes of bikes over the years
  4. We will not be running our trial tomorrow, we are hoping to run our Xmas trial on the 18th December and as usual the details will be published both in the press and on Trials Central well in advance. It surprises me that someone who is not even based in our Centre can make ill judged comments about how clubs operate it is this attitude that puts people organizing events.
  5. Hi Guys, Thanks for the positive comments about our Trials. Saturday's trial will have the usual A route the B route will be suitable for beginners' so please come and support us you will be made welcome and club members will be more than happy to offer help and advice. We will marking out on Saturday morning so if the weather changes we will set out the sections to reflect this 2014 ACU membership code numbers will also be available Pete Stourbridge Trials Cluub
  6. Thanks for your comments guys, they are much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the trial we hope to run again late December at a venue tbc Thanks to everyone who turned up, it was great to see many old faces (some very old !) and a lot of riders riding a Stourbridge trial for the first time Thank you again for all your support it means the Club can and will continue into its 27th year Pete
  7. At our Stourbridge trial on Saturday only 14 riders turned up, even allowing for the current economic climate etc this was a very disappointing turn out I know there was a centre trial on the Sunday but i understand earlier in the week only 16 riders had entered for this event While we understand that we will probably never see the return to our 40-50 rider average entry there must be something we can do to increase our entries to something near a breakeven figure. The next Stourbridge trial will be late April early May at Hanley Childe and those of you who know how good the venue is will also know how much work is needed to put a trial on there. In an effort to increase entries we are considering running on Sunday rather than Saturday but only if there is a positive reaction to this change so please let us know your views. Your future support is appreciated, we are running short of clubs in the centre who are willing to run trials if this continues surely there can only be one outcome ! Finally i know other centres are still attracting good entries so any suggestions would be welcome
