Is there a specific kit that will fit an 05 Beta REV3 270 or is it one size fit most?

I just did the clutch mod and filled will ATF, already had it. So far I’m loving it. One other question thou. Can the oil sight glass be removed? It looks like at one time water got in there and now it’s all cloudy. I’ve changed the oil a few times now and I can’t get it out. Can I remove and clean the sight glass?

Could be low octane gas. My 05 REV3 sounds like someone’s tapping on the cylinder with a hammer if I run sh*t gas. Just a thought.

Sorry for reviving the dead but……………………. It doesn’t look like I can get Putoline NanoTrans in the states and I keep see conflicting opinions on ATF so I don’t know what to think there. Can some suggest a good gear oil for trials riding that can be found in the states? Thanks

Hey Greg, I was just curious if you tried out your friends GG? I’m very new to trials riding and bikes. I just got a 05 REV3 270. The other day I went riding with a guy that had a GG 300/310cc or something pro and we traded back and forth a few times. I liked the riding position on the Beta much better and the power was more linear on the Beta. The GG hit a lot harder when it came on the pipe, I almost looped it a few times. It was a lot like riding an MX bike vs. a woods bike. I’m just wondering if Betas are in fact more linear or do I have something wrong.lol

What do you mean when you say (steering lock) ?

This is kinda funny to me. Sorry for being a newb but, I’ve never seen a setup for the clutch/ front brake masters like the one that’s on my new-to-me Beta rev 270. I thought I was missing some kind of rubber sleeve that would go over the whole spring / pin area, guess not. Should I be able to remove the spring and pin if I push the lever forward, away from the bars? Or should/ can it be adjusted so it’s imposable for it to come out at all?

What coolant is recommended to avoid this? In my other bikes I run a PG like engine ice or Sierra.

Sorry Im a noob. But what do you mean by this? The first thing I noticed when I got my 270 was that I had to take my foot off the peg to switch gears. Is this the norm for trials bikes or do you guys just have big feet?

I’ve been riding bikes (dirt & street) since I was 7 but this is my first trials bike. I recently traded my old DR650 for a 05 Beta Rev3 270. I haven’t had much ride time on it yet but I’m already wondering why I’ve waited so long to get one. There is going to be a learning curve as I normally hold on the bike with my knees /legs and I have use my feet more now but...................damn fun After searching around the internet it seems all trials roads lead here. So I thought I’d stop in, say hi and start reading.
