  3. I ride the same bike same year. 42 pilot jet 125 main jet. needle clip - 5th notch down. air screw turned .5 turns out from fully in. Super unleaded fuel - 75ml of oil. iam at sea level on the west coast of Scotland. I have tried 48 pilot / 45- and best performance on idle - low revs up to half throttle is the 42 pilot as recommended by tim at splatshop.
  4. Maybe yes!! but how many posts do you see regarding the Oko carb having the constant problems the keihin has?
  5. there is no proper way to measure the floats other than by eye! i wouldnt go tampering with drilling holes ect ect either , its normal for the idle to change on downhill runs .. just learn to put up with it, the keihin is a fiddly under engineered piece of kit if you ask me, im thinking of buying a OKO to replace my keihin carb. they will eventually drive you nuts!
  6. benifits are ... better grip in wet slippy conditions smoother power delivery but the bike will be harder to start will want to 'run on' its one and half a dozen ... personal prefrence
  7. try a search for ' gasgas info' if that fails go on to trials uk website and look at the VIDEO section on ' how 2's
  8. nothing to do with air in the system!! check out jim sheil videos on youtube for clutch adjustment on hydraulic clutch

  12. Hi all. What gearing does everyone use? I'm riding a 250 Evo , rear 41 tooth .. Front 11 tooth 1st seems too low to use for anything 2nd is better but still very low! 3rd I use for most things in a section 4th still too low to ride from A-B 5th for riding to and from my playground! Tips on sprocket sizes would be grateful to smooth things out a bit Cheers Ian
  13. In other words bosh it till it works! Do yourself a favour pal , strip it clean it , free it off and save yourself some more greif later on
  14. Sticky piston in the calliper.. Pump them out clean them with fine emery.. And calliper, replace and BACK bleed the system
  15. I had this problem too , I must of had my carb off and cleaned thorough over 50 times in a couple of weeks! I replaced the floats / float valve and and the float pin. Make sure the float height is absolutely spot on and you don't have a bent breather tube that's interfering with the movement of the floats. I guarantee that you have either a blockage in the valve needle Seat or your floats aren't set correctly. I polished the valve needle chamber using autosol and a cotton bud attached to a drill using low speed.
  16. Run a good thick bead of sikaflex around the opening of the filter and around the silencer bolt to frame area. And don't ride through ever puddle and stream u come to lol ... It's just one of those things u have to put up with on a trials bike water will always find a way into places eventually. The top of the carb body is another place to look out for..( the 2 screws) I have made a small rubber boot from a bicycle inner tube that slides over this and helps keep water oot
  17. ATF mineral based works best for me , changed regular Have also done the clutch mod and my clutch is spot on
  18. Check that the rubber Bung on the underside of the airbox hasn't fallen out.
  19. I never noticed any different until I removed my flywheel weight.
  20. What kind of carb is it?
