    Beautifully done,
  2. Right I think, but i lose count after a while...
  3. My first vintage bike, (even though I am from the same era it is), barn find, shown here after her first bath
  4. Congrats on the Beta, I am the proud owner of an '04, and I love mine. I have had a hard time adjusting to the LH kick though. As the posesser of 2 gimpy knees, I have to angle the bike just right and kick backwards and down to get her going. I will follow your progress on this with interest, as this bike has plnty of oomph for me even at altitude, and I would consider some easy starting mods myself.
  5. I'm kind of a noob myself, but I will give this a shot. I don't know for sure the regs for trials in the UK, but in my club the lower two classes (Beginner and Novice) would both be doable on a ty175. We also have a TS class (twin shock) that rides the lower lines for more experinced riders on older bikes, so I think he will easily have a class that he can enjoy and grow into. I have also found this page http://www.gasgas.com/tech.htm to be helpful with specific info for Gasgas models.
  6. Well I have a 94 JT25 and definitely cannot ride it like that! (but am having a ball) thanks for sharing that one, love the feet up power slides.
  7. I rode over a log and two ledges that intimidated me, then fell off trying to stop on the edge of a ledge so that I could wheelie off. This trials stuff is hard (and huge fun)

I also found these very helpful!
  9. I'm already addicted enough, I am afraid of more!
  10. Hi Beef706 checking in from NM USA. I'm not new to bikes, or off road, but I got the chance to try a trials bike a couple of weeks ago and my life has not been the same since. So, at the tender age of 55, here I am, brand new at another sport (started raing MX again at 40, playing hockey at 50). I have a new to me, 94 GasGas JT 250, and am having huge fun so far. I joined the local trials club, (NMTA) and they are extremely nice a nd very helpful. I feel a little addicted already, I have finally sound a sport where going slow isn't always bad .
