  1. If you take the chassis number down. When you do your checks (finance / stolen etc) You can break the vin down to show what age it is.
  2. If you have the full vin number that records its production date. Montesa can trace machines and provide proof of manufacture. But you would have to go direct to Montesa. If it has been previously road registered then it will already have an age related plate assigned to it. Might be easier to hpi the vin and see if any details come back reg etc. If you have the vin happy to take a look for you.
  3. If you know the vin number i maybe able to work it out. Alternatively the engine number should also depict its size. Happy to help if you have them to hand.
  4. Did you manage to get the full vin number to the police? Thats really important to get it on their systems. Unfortunately a number of trials bikes dont ever make it on pnc.
  5. Hi, it depends where in dorset you are. But there are lots of great venues and clubs on our door step. If you are able to transport your wheels then i can recommend blackmore vale trials club and yeovale mcc. They have good beginner routes. But there are plenty of others. Either use this site, amca website and the acu website to find clubs and trials that are coming up. Or trials and motorcross news (paper) Places to practice are few and far between. Most these days use the trials to practice. But if you travel there are purpose built practice grounds in surrey which are amazing. (Hook woods)
  6. It should be 17 digits. I think you are a few short. But you should be able to date it with the full vin.
  7. Hi I work in this area and have access to the databases. You can send me a private message if you don't want to publicly display the chassis number. But be prepared if the bike does belong to someone else you may have to let them have it back. Dependant on if they made an insurance claim. If they did I can negotiate with the insurer about your interest in the bike, on your behalf. But if they didn't then it lawfully could be someone else's.
