  1. Most trials riders in the upstate have quit riding. I'm one of the last & have cut back myself. I mostly ride the STRA events & some of the close Metrolina events. Don't do much local riding anymore but give me a try. hioldman@aoldotcom

Well, it's landed here in the US. I rode the 290 2t today. Very nice! I want one! H
  3. I see your reference to KTM. If your a KTM type guy I'd stay with the common thread. KTM & Beta (as I understand it) are suppliers for one another. Some of the KTM minis have Beta motors & the Beta enduro bikes have KTM motors. Having owned several KTM's & Beta's I'm partial to these bikes. Good luck & enjoy! H
  4. Sorry, just saw your note to a top end problem. Is it under acceleration or deceleration? Mine makes noise when I use low octain gas on the deceleration. Like my problem, I find that most Beta problems are operator controlled.
  5. Please describe your rattle. Is it a loose muffler, a motor ping or possibly your teeth from fear of that Beta power.

Just wondering if those with electrical problems are bike washers? While I am a bike washer, after having electrical problems with an Aprilia years ago, I learned to remove my mag cover after washing to let the electrics dry out fully. I'm on Beta #4 (97, 99, 01, & 04) & have never had any electrical problems with a Beta. I may be wrong, but I tend to think of those with electrical problems (any bike not just Betas) as bike washers who don't give their electrics a chance to dry out. H
