Noisy Ossa Factory 300 What Parts Should I Get Coming?
Mine is also a 2013 Factory with high compression head. I rode this bike a LOT at least 130 hrs. When I got it (used) the clutch was adjusted incorrectly and slipping. It had already eaten a clutch by the time I got it. Clutch fiber running through the mains is probably not a good thing who knows if previous owner changed the oil, it looked very bad. I also went 20 hrs or so between oil changes, looking back I would have decreased that to 10 or even less. I also have an hour meter on my bike now to be able to watch things more closely for maintenance reasons.

Noisy Ossa Factory 300 What Parts Should I Get Coming?
I could post a video of the noise tomorrow but have run several trials with it and almost everyone agrees it sounds like lower bearings. Checkers commenting saying they could hear me coming. I put a dial indicator on the flywheel and have .008" in and out play and .010" lateral play (when considering both opposite directions)I am pretty sure that is not good. Here is some video what say you? https://youtu.be/tBKdjVgtZb8 https://youtu.be/WAW-90MxvdE First video was in and out, second was lateral, could have gotten more if I pried harder but did not want to damage the flange in the case.

Noisy Ossa Factory 300 What Parts Should I Get Coming?
My green baby is sick and has a lot of bearing noise. I believe the top end is fine the bike has a ton of power and not a ton of time on it. Assuming it's only the lower bearings can anyone help me out and tell me what parts are needed to swap out the crank bearings? Anything else I should do / buy when in there? Best place for parts? LewisSport is out they are at SSDT for 2 wks. Input appreciated.

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
Not yet, just planning ahead. Does not look like it will help me anyway. I did find the clutch thickness specs. Check the flatness of the clutch discs, and the total thickness of the pack (3+2 discs). The minimum thickness is 9’75mm Found here page 60; http://www.ossausa.com/download/tech_tips/TR280i%20Service%20ManualEN.pdf Will get it apart this week and put a mic on it. Will check those levers too as suggested above. Forgot I still have the plates from my previous clutch replacement so they may also be of use.

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
Thank you lineaway, very informative. Are you reasonably sure the measurements are the same for the OSSA clutch as they are for the GG in this video? Everyone who rides my bike is amazed at how hard my clutch is to actuate I get arm pump during trials. Fixing this would be a big help for me. I have a buddy "BIFF" with the same clutch (or very similar at least) in his GG and his is easily 3x as easy to pull as mine is. -Mark

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
Sigh... So after being all excited about getting my adjustable clutch ring it appears it will not help me at all unless I am thinking backwards. Quote from this page; http://www.splatshop.co.uk/xiu-rdi-adjustable-spring-clutch-support-plate-ossa.html My clutch is somewhat new and too thick and that is why it's pulling very hard. This ring seems only to help maintain the clutch feel when a clutch gets worn. Am I wrong?

Very cool, thanks. Did not know GG did the same thing with the bearings.

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
The XIU plate is now in stock at Lewisport and I have one on the way. Another question..... I've read moving oil from 75wt to 80wt gear oil can make a clutch more progressive in a Gas Gas anyone know if it's OK to run 80wt gear oil in my Ossa since it also lubricates the main bearings? Tnx

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
It adjusts the angle of the fingers and puts them at a more effective angle reducing pull. It's pretty well known that this helps, lots of threads on it in the GASGAS forum, from what I hear same clutch just want to confirm it's exactly the same.

Is The Ossa 280/300 Clutch The Same Clutch As Gasgas Or Just Similar?
I need some thinner steel wear disks for my OSSA 2013 factory 300 to get the thickness down for an easier clutch pull. If I can't find thinner plates for the OSSA clutch are they the same as a GASGAS clutch? If so what bike? I wanted one of those cool XIU adjustable rings but can not find them in stock anywhere. This leads me to another question would the XIU ring for the Gas Gas work in an OSSA? Tnx.

What's The Deal With The Adjustable Compression Ring For Clutch?
OK I finally bought one of these buggers. I am thinking for easiest clutch (least pre load) pull I want to set it up with the fingers as low as possible (I have a new clutch and it's fat) am I thinking correctly?

Best Trials Gloves For Wet Conditions?
My last few trials have been in wet conditions and once my gloves are wet they get slimy and slippery. I end up getting arm pump and or very tired hands because of reduced grip. Using renthal Medium compound grips and I like them but they are for **** with slimy gloves. I've searched for this and did not see any recommendations. Anyone have a glove that is tacky even when wet?

How To Do Hops On Both Wheels Properly?
I find it easier to hop both wheels at once than I do to hop only the rear. No doubt I need to practice it more. Basically it all boils down to practice, it took me many hours to be able to hop the front and I rarely need to in the class I ride (intermediate) but it's sure nice to have it in your bag of tricks when you do need it. One thing I observed is that you really need to get it down completely before it's of any real use to you and does not cost you points by trying to use it. Much easier to hop when you want to than when you "need" to. For this reason in my practice I often try turns I can't make WO hopping and then hop it's more realistic. JMO.

Is Ktm Looking At Acquiring Ossa?
I heard a rumor at a trials meet last weekend that KTM may be having a look at buying OSSA, can anyone confirm? I'd sure like to see them stay alive.

Is Ossa Going Bye Bye?
I recently heard from a friend who said he heard from a reputable source that OSAA is going out of business. Story is that GasGas had purchased Ossa some time ago and had been having trouble. They can not afford to save both brands. Anyone have any info on this? I LOVE my Ossa and can't imaging anyone letting all the R&D that went into creating this fine machine go to waste! If it happens, what about parts, re-sale value, etc. Input?

I'm Feeling Stuck
I spent over 40 hours in my basement over the winter doing nothing but static balance. It was a huge leapfrog forward for me in my riding. half hour a day, the hours add up fast, can really help a newer rider IMO. I don't get nearly as tired while riding now because I can actually balance without expending a ton of energy. I have atrial fibrillation and I can get tired fast when working hard. When I first started I was pretty discouraged, did not think I would ever "get it". These days it's not so much of an issue as I ride more efficiently, riding when tired will cause you to make mental mistakes for sure.

Anyone Online Sell Custom Number Plate Graphics For Trials?
Thanks Biff, should have thought of that first. I've called Lewis about 4 times this week already, it's like talking to Jesus, he never answers either....

Anyone Online Sell Custom Number Plate Graphics For Trials?
Thinking about moving up a class and the thought came to me that maybe someone online makes custom graphics so I don't have to try and cobble something together myself. I'd like something with my class and possibly last name on it, anyone online offer anything like that? Tnx

What's The Deal With The Adjustable Compression Ring For Clutch?
I've not used ATF but the clutch has definitely been dragging more lately despite adjusting the MC to max stroke. Pull seems harder too than when I put it in at the start of the season. I'm going to try one of these rings to see if it helps, will report back when I've ridden with it.

I'm Giving Her Too Many Fingers !
I can not imagine riding with more than one finger on the clutch. I have a hard enough time hanging on with the 3 I have left when the **** hits the fan. Clutch grab in as close to the bars as possible helps, as has been said. I find that shorty levers help too to keep the outer fingers from getting smashed. When I started riding single finger was not enjoying life, he was weak and fatigued easily. Now single finger is a bad ass and bows to no man except during longer clutch heavy riding sessions.

What's The Deal With The Adjustable Compression Ring For Clutch?
Is this for reducing / increasing clutch pull? I've been having some issues with arm pump during long practice sessions would like to reduce the pull of my clutch a bit as my Ossa's pull is about 2x that of my Sherco. I'm a novice rider and won't be doing any 4th gear splats for some time I imagine... Anyone know anything about this? Seems like a new part.
