  1. Hey line yes it has a rim lock. I've been told by some to wrap the rim with duck tape (I've also heard this is a terrible idea) and then poke a hole for the valve and rim lock to fit through. Then mount the tubeless and it should hold. Not sure what to do.
  2. Thanks Five- Noted and will do.
  3. Hey bond I took the tire off and there's a rimstrip in there, but not a cord that I could see.
  4. Thanks guys. I got the allen bolt loose finally (put some WD-40 on it and let it sit overnight) I'll loosen the pinch bolts and proceed. Thanks all.
  5. On my GG 2009 280 there is a 8mm allen bolt on the left side (same size as the rear axle). I have tried like hell to loosen this thing to no avail. On the other side is a recessed large opening. Am I missing something? Should I be able to just loosen the 8mm allen bolt and remove the front wheel? Thanks all.
  6. Found out that on my 2009 Econ the rear rims are tube type, not tubeless. So I will Ebay my new tubeless tire.
  7. The tire upon closer inspection reads "Tube Type" so I guess the previous owner threw a tube in there even though I was told by GG it's a tubeless rear rim. I just bought a new tubeless X-11 so I hope it works.
  8. Hey Tirolean for whatever it's worth my 2009 280 sounds identical to yours.
  9. Hey guys I'm not starting another debate about which is better (cos I wouldn't know), I'm actually trying to figure out which tires I have- Tubeless or Tube? Yes I could take everything off and see but was hoping I could know without wrenching. Reads Michelin Competition on the sidewall. Any help appreciated. As always you guys have been great in helping me out. Thank you.

    Messy Oil Change

You could also buy a squirt drink bottle (the type hockey players use) it has a ridiculously small pointy tube.

    Messy Oil Change

I took a Starbucks straw and put it through the smallest filter I had and taped around where they meet to keep the oil in there from leaking. Amazingly it worked. That hole is SERIOUSLY small!!!
  12. A representative from Gas Gas UK e mailed me and wrote "400 ml -gearbox- we recommend Putoline Light Gear Oil"
  13. Exactly dad thanks man
  14. Hmm not sure Canada...that's what we call it here in good ol North Carolina. Wanted to adjust my rear shock and my local dealer doesn't carry them, so I'm ordering online. Wasn't sure which size to order.
  15. Anyone know what size spanner wrench I should get for a 2009 GG 280? Thanks all.

    Oil Check Help

Hey Guys- I have a GG 280. There's a little window where you can see the trans oil. Anyone know how to check the level? Capacity to refill after changing? Sorry I know these questions are easily answered in the OM, but I don't have one and don't know if this bike is an 08 or 09. Emailed the Vin to GG to see. Thanks!
  19. Got the boots, they are seriously comfortable! Like slippers! Lightweight and plush on the inside. Just wore em to work to break em in but I don't think they even need it. These are really sweet, can't wait to ride with them this weekend.
  20. Hi Guys- Can someone recommend a good coolant for my GG 280? I have searched a bit and can't find it. I think I need the pink stuff because thats what was in there previously and I've read that I should stick with that..? Thanks all.
  21. I use Bauer hockey elbow guards. Lame!
  22. I'm getting a pair, can't resist.
  23. What a great looking bike! I'm 42 and really glad I found trials riding. I want to be an active motorcycle rider but not interested in speed anymore.
  24. I'm new to the sport, using old motocross boots by Alpinestars, gloves by Fly and just bought a Wulfsport helmet, it arrives tomorrow.
