  1. Hi fellas, I am looking to restore a TR77 250 Ossa in green - can anyone tell me a car colour to effect an exact match please ??????
  2. Nearly all modern trial bikes have trouble with the clutch like this and the best way is just to run it for a while getting the engine hot and this enables the clutch to work. I then use a cable tie to keep the clutch lever pulled in when i am not using the bike and this allows the clutch to work every time.
  3. Remember to blow the jets out with compressed air - blowing through with your mouth isnt enough to clean them out in my experience.
  4. Jim, I have a Beta Rev 50 2002 for my son and this does the same thing in that it revs like hell then eventually dies - most of the time anyway. I have had trouble when power washing the thing off and getting water into the filter and carb due to the fact of a pathetic air intake box having 2 dirty great breather holes in it, so this may be worth checking but I would think this was the first thing you looked at if your model is the same. I have tried most things to get a decent steady tickover including a topend decoke, cleaning carb and tank out etc but it hasn't happened.
  5. Ok thanks for the oil theory. In answer to the fan being on I am not sure to be honest but please tell me why this matters ??
  6. I have a 2001 2.9 Sherco When it is stood vertical or leaned to the right side it is fine but when I lean it to the left there is a strange whirring noise that I think is coming from the engine or clutch. Anyone had this experience before ????? When I right the bike the noise stops - STRANGE !!!
  7. I have a couple of these stickers which I bought on ebay if you are struggling to get any
  8. Hi, Try this link - it is very helpful for most things trials bike http://www.trials.com.au/techtips/techtips.shtml
  9. I have a 2001 sherco 2.9 and the engine seems a little noisy so i have taken the top end down to check piston. Unfortunately i do not have micrometer and internal to measure bore and piston but without rings on i can get a 0.1mm feeler gauge snugly between liner and piston - does this mean there is too much play and an oversize piston is needed. Also would really like some advise on how to check main and big end bearings if possible. Thanks guys !
