  1. This is part of the loom I'm missing as the yellow wire is connected straight into the rectifire and then the other out let is the fan and fan switch . The bridge I need is the other part of the loom . Where is the best place to get it

  4. This needs closing , I'm sending the bike back , and bought another one , it's a 08 rev 3 250 again . And looks as it should .

They are sending me new parts , so I'm rebuilding it and probably going to put a fresh top end on it and go through all the bearings water pump ect , the front suspension is soft and springy seems like it has no damping or a fast rebound . What are the stock settings for rebound spring preload. Thanks

Not when your a mechanic and know how to check for worn bearings , it should have been picked up when it was serviced, and pulling a cover off won't give reasons to say a customer has caused the fault due to it being a mechanical fault . They cant sell something that they have said is In good condition and is not, its false advertising. I sis pat a fair chunk for it so I have the right to be abit miffed .
  7. Just to add how do I check the year of the bike with the frame number , if I count the 10th number it is a 3 from what I remember it would make it a 2003 modle , but it doesn't have a mikuni carb and it has a big weight on the fly wheel which looks like a stock part

Hi so I got my 08 rev 3 250 today , couldn't view it so had it dilivery and soon kicking over it has dreaded main bearing noise rough rumble ? and some spanner monkey has been chewing the electrics for the kill switch and head light which has the main block connector missing ?. Now does any one know what it will cost to have it rebuilt as Im Going to get on the blower and see what the bike shop will do as it's not fit for use and the advert said it's been serviced and runs and rides great , so I need to find out what's cost will be so I can see if I can get money back to cover the costs . Thanks
  9. Hi all was wondering if its able to swap the 250 juh for a 270 jug , would the crank cases need adjusting for the rod to clear the crank case or is it a easy swap .

    08 rev 3 250

    Hi all finally got my self a rev 3 250 again it's a 2008 modle , what is the difference between the 07 and 08 , I did have a 2005 modle 5 years ago and wished I had not sold it , but I'm wondering how different the 08 is to the 05 and can some one remind me the oil mix ratio , if I remember it was 70/1 . And if there are any bugs to watch out for i do remember the clutch would drag antill it was warm . Any help is well appreciated.

    2008 rev 3 250

    Hi all been reading about the changes done to the 07 08 rev 3 , and I was wondering if the weight that was added to the primary fly wheel could be removed for a snappy throttle response as I had a 05 rev 3 250 and liked how it was on dilivery and when I fitted the weight to that I did not like how it changed the engine character so I'm wondering if the same will be with the 08 .     2008 Refresh

    Sounds very tight but the problem you have is that your heating the hole crank up . What you need to do is warm up the main bearing where the crank slips into but warm it up with a hot air gun and it will tap out easily.
  13. Well I'm leaning towards the evo 300 but not the supper soft as I like a good strong motor or is it more to do with the throttle being more precise as in more travel which opens the throtle slide less sort of thing
  14. Sounds like my sort of bike lol yeah I know they wouldn't be able to do so. I will be using it as a road bike for work some days of the week as well to ride to my locale wood, would I have to run a stronger oil fuel mix if ridding on the road as 70.1 seems abit week for road ridding or has any one had no problems as I know they sit at idle and burst of throtle for obstacles ect. As I know it would tequer up jetting due to more oil being mixed with the fuel .
  15. yeah I know hence why I'm looking at an evo but not too sure about the 2016 on wards as I know they changed the engine for the sake of the eu emissions so I'm unsure how the power delivery is as I like a good strong snap of power up and go but good low end torque as well , does any one know where is best to test ride them if shops allow that ?

  17. Yeah I gues so for the extra oomph won't bother me if got a few sports bikes ect 1000cc so a 300 is alot softer but has power on tap but more torque I'd guess. But I'd like to know more on the differences of the evo and rev 3 . Cheers

    Evo or rev 3 ?

    Hi all I'm looking to buy a trials bike again i had a 2006 rev 3 250 and did like it but sold it a few years ago , but now looking to get back into it again , could any one tell me how much better or difrentvthe evo is to the rev 3 and that's in 250 cc format . Pluss I'm also leaning to a 300cc posibly but would like to know if it's worth going up 50cc. Thanks ian

  20. Well 1600 is what I want for it as it is a good clean bike iv replaced the water pump casings and a few other bits and pieces . I'm live near market drayton . The best thing I gues is to look on my ebay add ill give you the item number 131536959646

  22. Well it was 1600 as that's what I want for it as iv fix all the know casING problems and it's in good condition . But iv got it at a starting bid off 800 with a reserve

    Beta Rev 3 250

    Hi not sure if this is the right place to ask bit any way . I'm trying to sell my bike on ebay and it seems trials bikes are the hardest things to sell iv listed it twice and not a single bid or offer , so my question is where is the best place to sell it any info is appreciated
  24. hi sounds like you need to clean the carb out or you have a realy dirty air filter but to be fair start with the carb then the spark plug as well as did u mix the fuel and oil correctly

    Ok well I have replaced the cases as it did have the typical corrosion problem I have just ordered a impeller for the water pump . But I can't see why it should run on unless the radiator is partially blocked not cooling the coolant properly
