  1. Take it back to the dealer you bought it from explain the problem you had since you bought it new and see if they can sort your issue out...You bought a new bike so you did'nt have to mess with it , Right? Most shops are pretty good about taking care of their customers.

  2. My Son has a 2005 SY250 and we find it is a very ''easy to live with'' bike for the occasional rider, its as capable as the riders skills...Keep in mind it is down fairly low on the high performance scale.  Try one ...and if you can try other models as well before you pull out your wallet. Make sure you check over your choice WELL before you purchase...have seen too many people purchase a used bike and immediately have to spend as much or more again to ''fix'' it :(  Happy bike hunting

  3. I have a set of GP's on one of my bikes to try'em out, the other has Michelin lites. I have come to the conclusion that, the GP seems to be working Great and I not being an expert rider by any means find no real noticeable difference...(Experiment with what air pressure works well for you though)..And the GP is almost half the cost of the Michelin which is a nice bonus. Enjoy them and keep your feet on the pegs:thumbup:

  4. I am thinking that ''Extra left over washer'' you posted about earlier is possibly the one that fits against your clutch release thrust bearing? Is there one there, did you just leave it out, install it in the wrong location elsewhere???

  5. If you go with OEM stuff make sure you get the new version stuff only available in the blue 2009 style, all the older stuff will not stick worth cr*p because the adhesive has  past its ''best before'' date . I am pretty sure splat has the new stuff...I have got several brand new old ones that would work as wallpaper if you staple them on:crying:

  6. Oh..I just noticed both vent spigots one each side dont look like they or ''open''. If not, they are on a Sps...may be someones previous attempt to update/carb change, not sure about pwk 2t variations etc I know there are several...Guys at splat are one of the very best for info and parts. Enjoy your build

  7. If you unscrew the said float bowl nut, It will have a longer atomizer tube with a Dellorto mainjet on bottom (will have loose jet and spring and small end thing :huh:inside if its sps or converted) The 2008 came with a regular pwk with hotstart setup. I am thinking you may want to recheck your reg. papers as the crank indicates that it is not a 2009 model unless its been replaced or something..

  8. Noticed your crank does not have the 3rd bearing ''nub'' on the end which a 2009 3.2 should have...maybe a non-original motor in frame or actually an older model sold as a 2009?? If its actually a 2009 model it should also have the Sps carb already installed, easily identified by a round aluminum main jet access plug(its a modded keihin PWK28) . With this carb you will have Zero ''off idle hesitation/sputter at all...but you have to make sure there is no crap in Any of the jets or orifices.  That is a very interesting looking coffee can welded onto your header pipe there...very unique:mellow: Good luck on your build

  9. If the frame is bending that easily (which it should not) It would be a really good idea to not ride it and take it apart and check everything out Very closely. Sounds like something has ''let go'', would fully check frame all over for cracks and separation ,possibly your swingarm pivot bolt is broken off or very loose...motor bolts. Good luck

  10. Wowsers is Right, very sad story indeed. Great to hear Topcats 250cc versions did not experience the issues. So very happy to have fellow enthusiasts posting these kind of stories here, lets keep it up, they can critique products and how outfits stand behind the products, or not:unsure: .
