  1. I'm so happy I was thinking of getting the arrow/bosi exhaust as heard good reviews also was going to look at jetting as heard they run lean but being 2nd hand don't know what has been done (if anything) previously. Anyway can't wait until the next trial!
  2. I just purchased a 2012 beta Evo 300 4t. I have not been riding trials very long and had a jotagas 300 previously. I purchased the beta on its condition and had never ridden a 4t trials bike. Well it was a revelation I did not ride for 2 months or so as had a shoulder injury, but went straight to a trial without ever riding the beta. I was like a kid on Christmas unloading when I got to the trial, signed on then off to the 1st section, i normally ride sportsman and going to go clubman next year, it was a 1 route trial set up fairly easy and the weather had been kind. I had a walk of the 1st section then I was the 1st rider to open the section. Having no idea on gearing I went for 2nd which was a good choice as a climb out of the section let me rev it out a little, the grip level from the 4t seemed amazing and almost endless in the almost perfect conditions, I cleaned the whole of lap 1 of 4 which is better than I normally do, I noticed that my cooling fan hadn't cut in and the 4t was getting very warm so a quick visit to the pits and I bridged the cooling fan so it ran constantly. I also noticed popping on deceleration so think I will give the mixture screw half a turn before next trial. Anyway the rest of the day gave me more and more confidence and I went round clean all 4 laps and that has never happened before!! I really am chuffed with the beta 4t honestly feels like the perfect bike for me in my limited experience! Can't wait for the next trial!!
  3. No you have explained that fantastic i will give it a try later i was thing all sorts thanks so much really appreciate it
  4. Does anyone have a workshop manual or just any idea how to set the Kickstarter spring tension?? I can't seem to set it right Thanks
  5. I think I have fixed it after realising it was the Kickstarter stop I have managed to fill the slightly elongated hole with liquid metal and re tap so should all work now,!
  6. Hi all recently bought a new to me 2012 jotagas 300 I could sometimes hear a slight ratcheting noise like the Kickstarter was slightly engaged whilst running. I have taken the casing off and found that there is a 2 holes on the waterpump/clutch casing side that im guessing the Kickstarter pawl is ment to be bolted into but it appears to have pulled out of casing and elongated the holes any advice will try and upload pictures
  7. There is nothing restricting me to those brands just my budget (2k max) and location in the south west seem to have few bikes come up I am actually tempted by a clean 2009 beta 250 Evo it's from the same guy that I purchased the 125 from so I know he keeps his bikes very well Also I know how the evos ride
  8. As title I'm torn between both have read plenty of reviews but does anyone have experience of both I have toe option of either and there is a slight price difference but is the jotagas worth the extra. I'm a new to trials rider at clubman level I have been riding my son's 2009 beta evo 125 and being 90kg feel like I could use a little more tourqe. Couldn't find alot about either online and probably wouldn't get a chance to ride them back to back Thanks
  9. Got my son a beta evo 125 and I have done a trial on it at 6ft and 85kg it did a great job with me on it and would get up anything up to intermediate/hard at club level Just have to use the clutch a bit and be in the right gear
  10. Thanks may give it a go the tank covers look to bolt on in the same places so will give it a go
  11. Thanks for that just noticed the newer tank covers are much cheaper so may give it a try
  12. I'm wondering if I can fit the newer style tank cover and mudguard 2013 onwards if anyone has done this I understand I would have to re locate the map switch or remove On my son's 2009 evo 125 Thanks in advance
