  1. Thanks Lee

Just bought the bike, it only needs tiyding up a little and the headstock bearings replaceing and its ready to go it sounds really good, bit taller than I remember thou. It might well get an outing at the next Macc trial. I also got another 301 bike 90% complete in the deal , but the barrel is badly scored would a barrel piston from a 300 twinshock or 201 241 mono fit, if i can find one going cheap.

  2. Hi

Eiger went up to look, missed you obviously, but I forgot to look near the butty bar, should have gone there first. The sections at hawksnest looked good, and to make the day complete I got a copy of yoomees new mag as well ,it looks spot on and I must get my order in for the year.

Theres some pictures on the fotki site but no results yet.

  3. Ralph

Eiger beat me to it, but if you new the man well you never even suggest he might take the 2p out of his purse.

There was a rumour he got a round in at the local back when the yam was the the bike but personally I have my doubts.

And another thing them cable ties are expensive items, so another no no for eiger.

    Wulf gear rules.

  4. Ralph If Eiger's chin was on the handle bars he probably say something shiney on the ground and thought it was a penny. His riding skills are on a par with his unwillingness to spend money.

I never missed an end's card in the John mac last year, just took about twenty minutes and a few backward moves getting up one of those rocks in Andys field after nose diving into it, and still got away with a three.

That 07 pro looking more likely to be purcashed now so might so hopefully I will be out at the John Mac next year.

  5. Just like to say a big thanks to everyone who helped run this trial for us. Its really nice to see riders like Andy -290 and Tom and youth riders observing and giving up a Sunday ride (even if they do get a bit of free practise). To help the club.

I have not been able to help this year due to family illness so a big thanks to every committee member and plenty of others as well, who pulled out all the stops on this one.

Surprised to hear of riders running out of fuel, I am sure we have had a bigger lap in previous years; you can blame me there as I assured everyone who asked on the phone they would be OK.

Little disappointed at the entry we always clash with the Scott, so can't use that as an excuse, will have to publicize it more next year, including on here.

Results are on club website, just realised I've got the numbers mixed up on the 50/50 route, will fix in morning.

  6. The John Mac trial starts just out side Macclesfield signed from the Congleton - Buxton road regs are TMX its enter on the day, sections used are in the some of same venues as the Dave Rowland/Bemrose plus a few others.2 laps 20 section its an early start 10 as its a bit late in year.Start is Burnt House Farm Wincle the likely start area as this years Northern Experts.

  7. Thanks for that, not sure the 250 engine is the same as the 320, looks different in the picture on ebay, but that might just be the camera angle, will keep an eye on the bidding.

I am assured the electric were OK and the bike would run just before I bought it, so hopefully if I can get some gears I might well try the fork re-chroming.

Would it be possible to just do away with 5th and 6th I know it would effect any sell on price but if they were repalced with blanks would that work?

  8. At last got the engine split, and found its 5th and 6th gears that are broke, whats the chance of finding gear box parts!!!!!!!

The lad that had the puller and kindly split the engine for me also had a copy of the hand book for the 320, which will come in useful.

  9. Hi Brian

On this side of the pond our club get some trials specific awards from top trophies North in Preston there brilliant value and good detail and spec. 10. Thanks for all your replys

I need to fine out the extent of the fault in Gear box first,I will have a look at those pins thanks for the tip Woody, and then decide what to do, Ive not spent any money yet other than the intial cost of buying the bike.

Has anybody got a picture/diagram of the back brake assembly as I am sure this is a fantic one and not the original unless they fitted the same type.

  11. Just bought a 320 Trial Armstrong to hopefully restore, depending on the amount of work thats required.

The forks need replacing or recromed, theres some problem in the gear box and not sure theres a spark and somethings a miss with the back brake plate. Its got what looks like a fantic one on there, but no slot on the swinging arm for the retaining pin, is this the wrong type off brake plate?

So depending what i find in the gear box, the faults should not be two much of a problem hopefully.

Other than that the bikes in not in to bad a condition. Its got a (Sammy Miller) Hiro engine and white frame with a square section .

Just read the frame number but forgotten it by the time I walked into the house ( memory as bad as my riding).

Is there any/much info on these bikes on the web can't seem to find much.
