Held rear wheel on my evo 250, and shook bike, felt like the frame was cracked, looked at shock linkage, there is a lot of play, ordered new bearing kit, which is extensive, will fit kit within an hour, then feel bike will be perfect.
-
Changed the rear brake pedal bearing today, simple job, made a world of difference, am going to do same to my rev3, but have to drop the swing arm out first,
Got a factory evo 250 cheap, but tatty, proper powerful. A good buy,
-
Got the evo, every fastener is screwed, lol
Was going to trials it, its got proper power, seller said front brake binds, yes mate that's because only one piston works.lol.got for cheap money so not unhappy.
So I'm only going to maintain bike not, get it up to spec,
Use it for a few years them get rid,
It pull front wheel up everywhere,
-
Fitted wider, (front to back) foot pegs, a lot more supportive, and lighter than standard steel pegs, mine were not flat, so dug into my sole, well worth it for the comfort over a days riding.
-
I have beta rev3 125, I changed fuel cock, found swarf from when it was manufactured, also changed inline filter, can see the difference, filter now fills very quick, idling may be down to either,
-
My clutch does not stick, I start it with the clutch in.
Love the bike, love the revy engine, its class,
But may buy an evo 300.new
But will never sell the 125.
Love that bike
-
I'm thinking epure bike.
I love my rev3,
But, I'm thinking, no engine maintaining.
But don't want extra weight,
Anyone rode one ????
-
Fitted a fast throttle to my beta rev3,fab.
It's so more responsive.
Front wheel up when I want it.
-
Update, bike is a 2008 rev3,
Have fitted the silicon tube, it's now very easy to take carb off.and put back on.
-
I use putoline light gear oil, I just think, they must know their stuff.lol
I use 75, but have seen 20 50 mentioned in manual
-
I just put two springs back in, to make it 6 again. The front end lifts a lot easier now,
I think 4 springs can't handle the initial shock loading,
It's a slightly heavier clutch pull, but not a major prob,
-
Got hold of an original part,
Don't like it, because I have to remove airbox and exhaust mid section to refit the rubber, but will live with it,
Half the fun is surely sitting outside on a stool and fiddling.lol.
My localish club north hants trials club has been a good craic. Should have joined years ago.
-
I think I just learnt my lesson moving the bars.lol.
They where slightly forwards, so put them upright,it totally changed the handling, so going Back to slightly forwards. it was prob 15mm forwards.
Live and learn.
-
Has anyone fitted a silicone airbox hose on a rev 3, the airbox outlet is a different diameter to the carb inlet, yet the hoses for sale are parallel, thanks.
-
Not tried them yet,
Their website, doesn't list my carb.
But as they are 2 miles away, should go and see them.thanks
-
Looking for main jet for vhst bd 26 carb.
Beta rev 3,
Can't see anything listed on the net.
Anyone know where to purchase,
Thanks.
-
I'm joining the local club, ridden Road bikes, trials bikes and motocrossers, not raced,or done any watched trials, mostly done the local woods or ridgeway,
I'm prob above the lowest level, the side car, pre 65 class.type sections
Is it easy to see where to follow the sections,
I will hold back and watch to start with.
Thanks

Where can I buy michelin x11 trials tyre in Berkshire uk,
Or can you help with an online site, thanke
-
Ride a rev3 125 09.
Have had loads of road bikes, motorcrossers and a few trials bikes, fantic 301, Bultaco sherpa 250 and 350. Back on trials bikes, modern bikes so much better than a quite basic fantic, love working on the Rev 3, poured oil out of the center section exhaust today, lol, bike runs better every time I work on it, am going to practice on it this year, then buy a new beta evo 250,
-
It's practice you need, I found 250 trials bikes pushed me into the bushes, it's 12-18 bhp,it's nothing, compared to a sports road bike or a motocross bike, it's just a different technique,
