  9. surely a van would have a bigger load capacity than a car?
  10. has anyone got one of these on a van? i have an enduro bike also and it wont fit in the back of a connect, would be nice to hear if anyone has any problems as the enuduro bike is more bulky, does it rub on the bodywork anywhere? thanks
  11. i think trials tyres are banned this year, i think top 5 this year will be - 1)knighter 2)taddy 3)sagar 4)eddy 5)braybrook i dont think 4str wont hold either knight or tom back this year, i always think its silly at the tough one letting the experts go before the pro's, i know they have the gimmick putting the wheels on, or running to your bike, but last year there was such a bottle neck at the first few corners that a few of the top riders where getting stuck behind them.

rite ive sorted that, put it all back together, put gear oil and coolant in, do i need to bleed the coolant system? as it seems to be getting very hot? also just so im sure, the bar that is on the inside of the water pump, this will only go in one way wont it? i maen if i havtn lined it up surely it wouldnt sit flush witht he clutch casing? thanks.

ok ive just nackered the job up! i was taking the clutch cover and water pump off, and thinking that the brass star bolt on front of the pump was one of the bolts holding the pump on i noticed the head was rounded off, so ive drilled it out now leaking anti freeze, after looking on gg museum i see its a pump bushing? does this screw out or will ineed to buy a whole new casing?
  16. edgas250 replied to edgas250's topic in Gas Gas

My 280 pro has just started leaking gearoil, When the bike is running its seaping through the bolts which hold the clutch cover on? think there is a gasket behind that? ive checked the gasket and its fine, what would have caused this? are there any seals i should replace? thanks
  18. over the past 18months of owning a gas gas every time i remove the airbox becomes a struggle to get the damn thing back on, the reason being is the rubber ring around the carb to the airbox, it doesnt seem to be long enough, ive rang gas gas and they said they have never changed the design! the only way i can get it to sit on is by placing the rubber ring inside the airbox tube half way on a slight angle, then put the carb into the recess in the bung, but once i start to tighten a jubilee clip around it the ring starts to come away from the airbox tube! to even get as far as the above i need to slacken off the manifold on the other end of the carb and have that not sitting were it should, its almost as if the carb is too small, and it wont fit between the 2 tubes, its a standard dellorto carb, bike is a 280 pro 05, Thanks
  19. ive got play in my head bearings, how do i go about changing them?
  20. edgas250 replied to edgas250's topic in Gas Gas
if you have the silencer off, look at the end where it goes to center box, in the hole is live a sleave which is loose on mine it sits inside the silencer, is this right or should it stick out and seal around the center box
  21. edgas250 replied to edgas250's topic in Gas Gas
    anyone??/

My exhaust is blowing in between the rear silencer and center section, the rubber O rings are no where to be seen, and also how should the round peice which sleaves over the center section be placed, should it be loose inside the silencer? or protrude out? Thanks Matt
  23. As said above the swb does take 2 bikes easy on the diag, also loads of room to get your kit in, if i had a choice at getting one, ( mine is a works van) i would go for the one witht the side door,
