  1. just to let you know, i replaced the piston and spring in the MC blead the system and it works fine!
  2. i have ordered anew mastercylinder kit anyways as it was only
  3. i tried this last night and no joy, i was talking to a ktm enduro rider last night and he has mentioned that ktm's are prone to the seals in the cylinder going after pad changes due to pushing the pistons back into the caliper? does this sound likely?
  4. yeh i know that, the reason was it was low on fluid, so thought it wouldnt take long to bleed, as previous week i did the clutch and front brake, 4 days on and still no back brake! so when you say take the pedal off, do you mean remove the complete unit and push screwdriver into the cylinder attached to the frame?
  5. i have recently replaced the rear pads and tried to bleed the system, when iwas in process of bleeding i wedged the pistons in as far as they would go, so there flush with the caliper, then fitted the pads put wheel on and all back togetherand bleed it, now when im pumping the brake to get resistance the pistons are coming out so far but not far enough to put pressure on the pads, im not kidding i must have pumped constantly for atleast 15minute! anyone know what it could be?? Thanks
  6. bummer would have been up for this, i have a 200ft absail in the morning which i really could do with getting out of

    05 Graphics

Ive just bought some 05 grphics for my pro 280, has anyone ever had any trouble fitting the seat surround sticker? (the one which goes around air box lid) as the one i have just does not fit! its almost as tho its too small, it didnt help with there still being a bit of grease on there, so isnt sticking to great,
  8. I was in your position about 5months ago, the best thing to do is buy a 04/05 bike which you can pic up good ones for
  9. i dont know anyone else with a pro but i will have a chat with people at my next trials and see what theres is like, Many thanks Matt
  10. changed the oil to castrol ATF Dextron 3 and still the 1st to second change is still, all noticed that when the clutch lever is pulled in, the bike sounds alot better then when the clutch is out? (does that make sense?) when the clutch is out there is a strange sound i cant quiet describe ( i know isnt a great deal of help) over the note of the engine Anyone? Thanks Matt

    Advice

    where are you from?
  12. no only seemed to notice a difference since it was left standing really, is there anything i can do about the neutral thing? as its very annoying to mess about trying to find it when all your mates seem to find it with ease on ther machines?
  13. hmm maybe, i have somw 10w/40 gear oil, would this be ok to use?
  14. it changes as it should with the motor off, but also its extremly hard to find neutral with the engine on or off, usually have to use your hand rolling the bike?
  15. the bike has been left standing since my last trial 2 weeks ago, and its very stiff to change from first to second, ive bled the clutch and replaced to piston in the MC, as the dust seal was ripped, and still its very tight and stif to change, but its fine shifting down? anyone?
  16. After removing my rear wheel and replacing the tyre im having trouble tensioning my chain? what is the best way to do it, and how much clearance should there be at the tensioner?
  17. I have the SWB version and can get 2 bikes in on an angle (top and tail) but to be honest its easy doing it when there clean and exhausts are cold, but after a couple of hours riding it becomes very awkward loading them up in the back, as theres no head room, So i usually stick with taking just the one bike which rolls in a nd out no problem!
  18. Well what a day! I enjoyed every minute of it, thought all the observers/other riders where a good bunch, always on hand to give me some advice, Was a 4 lap course, i only maganage 2 of them tho, due more to my fitness (lack of) from picking the bike up from the hill climb! and also as it was getting even more wet and muddy through the event i couldnt see my self improving any more, Have alot to improve on, i just need to drum into my head to look up instead of looking at things thinking 'dont hit that' then next thing ive hit it! also need to practise my hill climbs! Cant wait for my next one!
  19. Ive just spoken to Elwyn and it is starting at 4pm, New Barns Farm, Trefonen ill be going, will be my first trial, on my 280 gasser, (mr sagars old bike!)
  20. Well its the big day tomorrow, just want to know lastly what the difference would be between novice and adult begining class? not really sure which to enter in as i want to challenge myself but also dontreally want it to be to easy or hard for my ability, what would be the difference? Thanks

    Help!

I have now repaired the majority of the work, fixed the seat cover for temp use on sat,(amazing what you can do with cable ties and super glue!) as the centre section folded in ive heated it up and popped it out as far as i think its going to go, put it all back together and it is still slightly smoking from the joint between the silencer & centre section, also is a little louder too, one thing i noticed on the silencer was there was a loose bit of pipe floating around in there which looked to slide over the center sec, thing is i can only get it to mate up to the hole not slide thru enought for the centre to connect to, Really all i want to know is as im doing my first trial on sat, im not goin to be turned away due to it being to loud? Thanks

Thanks Also if anyone has any of the above spare let me know,
  24. Ha! ill keep it in mind! I actually got myself out on the bike on sat as it just didnt stop raining all day, which made me a little more determined to go out try hill climbs step ups in the wet.... it was a struggle, but i did make some slow progress, i did actually try a stream crossing then as the front wheel went in it sunk down to the disk,
