At Aluminium works probably less than a dozen made the end of the top sub I saw the water level rise and fall during the day by over a foot, for much of the day you could hear the boulders, some the size of your telly, rumbling like thunder down the beck such was the force of the water.
probably the whole entry attempted the sections but at its height the section was virtually unrideable most patient was carlos casas who waited 45 minutes for the water level to subside, which it did...
Yes I remember well the Aluminium works sections, cause I was there watching and waiting for about 45 minutes to ride. I was a bit cold there waiting for the water level to subside....but I was also enjoying watching all the good rides. Hope to be there again this year !!!!
In this country we have youth A.B.C.D. classes which are D 6-9 yr olds
C = 9-12 yr olds B=13-15 and A= 16+17yr olds
How are the youth riders graded in Spain and at what age can they ride trials like the 3 day over Easter?
Here in Spain there are a Spanish Champ. called "Cadete" riders from 14 to 15 years old and with bikes 125 cc. Then Junior, from 15 years old. Then "Senior" when 3 years in Juniors, and finally "Veterans": more than 28 years old.
Apart of that for riding events like Santigosa 3 Days in Easter Week, there is no limit. I mean a young rider, about 10-.11 or more he could ride if he would.
Hi Ishy.No I'm not going to Mancha Real this Sunday. The Spanish Veterans (more than 28 years old in Spain),Champs starts next week in Gunyoles (Barcelona).
Last year I rode the event in Mancha Real (Jaen), South Spain, and the ground is specially. I mean if dry, no problem, plenty of grip, but if wet it's incredible slippery. So wait for the results cause all the big names will be there riding....so it's a good test for the World Champ.
No, there are 3 diferent routes in Santigosa. He is riding the intermediate course (the same as me) and we were riding together and I can tell that Alex impressed me. He is a realy good rider and with brilliant future.
Yes Ishy, I'm riding. This is the best trial in Spain and also it's a good training for the SSDT.
Tomorrow I'll try to get all the results, but I'm riding nearly Alex Wigg and Haslam and they are riding very well......and also Sam Connor, well recovered and riding a Sherco 2T. I imagine thay we could see some Sherco 4T in the SSDT this year....
Hi g}ys, The same days: 25-26-27 Mars there are in Catalonia-Spain the best trial in Spain: The XXXIV SANTIGOSA 3 DAYS TRIAL
It's a bit far from the french event, but well worth it. The venue is in Sant Joan Abadesses (Girona) near the France border, and there was a round of World Champ a few years ago.
