  1. Hi Juanroberts

    Thanks for the info !!!!!!

I will do the forks for certain, the rear shock seems to be quite awkward to do will speak to mate as hes a better spanner man than myself !!!

    Thanks once again !!

  2. Hi

    To Juanroberts:

"..... I put the rear spring in the softest of the three clip settings, and took out the spacers in the front forks...."

Can you expand on this as my boy struggles with the size of his bike its an 09 model. I have lowered the forks in the yorks, but can you explain the softest of the three clip settings, and what is involved in taking the spacers out of the front forks?

Graham5170: I have also put the a 60 tooth rear sprocket on my boys bike and its loads better, it pulls away slightly better on low revs and does slow it down a little, as soon as I did this he was able to do stood up turns so much better !!! also I run my with the same oil and premix as my 250 pro just because it saves on having two cans, 75ml to 5 litres and yes the bike does smoke a little but not a lot, but I do get oil coming out of the rear pipe which does go everywhere, but I dont mind this and my little boy does rev the thing up !!!

    Cheers

  3. Yes I thought it would be asy to take off and make something up.... only trouble is the stiching also held together the quick release clamp. So this was one issue but the other is it is stiched really close to the helmet shell and I cant get it off so I am left with half of it ripped off at present :-(

  4. Does anyone know of a trials helmet that has a removable fabric chinstrap cover, I have a full-face Airoh and this does have it, great for when you sweat you can bung it in the washing machine aswell as the inserts, everything smells fresh and nice.

All the trials helmets I have seen have fabric chinstrap covers but there are all sewn in? My airoh trials helmet was like this so I decided to see if I could get out the fabric to put in the washing machine as it was getting smelly and now looking for another helmet as this has runined it :-(

I would pay the extra if there was a trials helmet out there like this.... do Arai have this feature or Sheoi have this?

    Cheers

  5. Just seen these new helmets ..... Apico Torx Helmets ....

Has anyone got one, are there fairly lightweight? I used a Airoh rock at the moment but I am looking for a change and these seem a good price, just havent seen one in the flesh?

    Cheers

  6. Thanks for your comments....

I noticed a big differnce with having slow throttle, and I really like the flywheel weight I found it smoothed out camber turns and didnt make the back wheel spin.....

Still undecided about the head spacer, my bikes runs real sweet engine wise, so nervous about taking anything apart (just me being paranoid), but I was told the head spacer makes a lot of differnce so I was put off, but from your comments it may just be the extra bit of smoothness that I am after....

Just wish I was good enough rider not to need to slow the thing down !!!

    Thanks again

  7. Hi

I currently have a 2009 txt pro 250 with a slow action throttle and a S3 flywheel weight.

The bike feels ok but I rode a Beta 08 and it is much slower on the take off than my Gasser, and I did not spin so much when riding a climb on it... (but that was the only thing I liked about it)

My question is that has anyone put slow action throttle, Flywheel Weight and a head spacer on a 09 250 and if so does the extra spacer for the head change the power a lot, as

  8. I rode in MX boots for a few trials and I found that the 2 most annoying things are:

Too stiff .... walking the sections was a real pain literally

Too slippery .... mx boots have no grip, trials boots have lots of grip and after nearly slipping off rocks a few times you soon realise you need trials boots.....

I brought SIDI boots and love them although they have leaked a few times.

  9. Hi

Had the same thing with my 09 250.... only ridden it around 2 hrs..... washed it then pushed back in the garage, (luckly) put it on a stand and started it, after about 20 seconds it jumped into gear but as the rear wheel was off the ground no harm done.... I phoned GAS GAS UK about this as its so new but they just said I had not got it in neutral corrctly???

    Anybody else had this happen?

    Cheers

  10. Hi,

I currently have a beta 200 04 model and last weekend went on a friends 09 gas gas 250 pro..... I really liked it and now have sold my beta, I really want a 250 and really liked my beta and it never gave me any trouble..... I am concerned about gas gas reputation, (I know their enduro bikes have really got better over the last few years) as I really dont want to spend
