aha,busted by legs!!
is this the infamous DR as in "used to run a tea and biccy shop diguised as a trials business"?
reveal yourself legs.... LEGS???.....short and skinny if i recall!
-
no doubt about it....it stalled.
there's something about it in action that confirms my concerns of it looking heavy, even with taddy riding it.maybe it's just the way the motor sounds but it seems less responsive than other recent 4t offerings.
can't wait 'til someone english speaking rides it and gives us an honest impression.i hope it works well as i'd like to see scorpa gain popularity.
-
yep,that's the place.
do they still have a trials area on the lower level.probably not.it pretty much only consisted of a few dirt banks with trees and a big concrete bunker which only the studs of the day could get on top of!
can't believe the "first gear oval" is still in use.good memories.i'll have to check it out next time i'm over.thanks mick.

oh well, guess i'm either too old or too far south for most of the visitors here.
howsabout Slyfield? anyone remember those trials in the 80's? i think this was a rare chance for us shandy drinkers to ride some rocks.if i recall though i think it was just a pile of rubble!close enough
-
just about to go for a saturday ride in the rain here in sunny so.cal. which brings memories flooding back of riding trials at pitstop near chertsey as a young youth.i first learnt to ride a motorbike at pitstop,on the oval learner track next to the mx track.think i spent the whole first day in first gear, convinced i would never need to learn to shift!
anyone remember riding trials there on saturdays? i'm pretty sure that was my first exposure to trials, must've been around '77.
trying to reminisce those days is pretty hard over here,so i'd love to hear anyones memories of that place.

ringo, they weren't cheering, they were laughing. the sound you thought was clapping was people slapping their hands over their eyes so they didn't have to watch!!! just kidding buddy.you're a braver man than me!see ya in duluth.

LEWISPORT US's website pretty much has all the trick stuff available right now in the trials world.i think the new montesa may fire up some other companies to jump into the aftermarket industry that has help make the motocross industry so profitable.fingers crossed!
-
sounds like cody's the only one willing to go for it.good luck to him.

hmm,gas gas weights seem a little odd.maybe that was an 03 280 'cos the raga shouldn't weigh that much less than an 04,being that the 04 came with ally mid pipe (-4lbs supposedly) and the raga didn't.The 04 has come with most the weight saving items that the raga came with except for the mag parts which surely can't have saved 8lbs.Did the raga have lights too?Oooh,i'm all confused!Too many questions.I'm going to bed.

oh,ercoman, you poor gullable soul.the only reason ringo climbs any rocks is due to the abundance of hot air in his system.unfortunatly,it seems to leak out at the most embarrasing times.either spewing crap on this forum or as he reaches the top of a rock, which usually sends him crashing back down to mother earth, much to the amusement of onlookers!you gotta witness it.it's quite a treat!!
