  1. Damn, that's my local riding spot! I know those rocks well but never planned to tackle 'em. Good stuff!!
  2. I would give Lewisport in California a try.
  3. Just spoke with Motoworld in El Cajon, Ca yesterday and they had 2015 fenders and frame stickers in stock and said they have many more parts on the shelves. Still waiting for the actual bikes but I was pretty damn impressed that a big dealer like that had trials parts in stock.
  4. Well thanks Billy T! Like you, I'm a little more fearful of the big stuff these days but am enjoying working on the techy bits. See ya out there soon, hopefully on my new 4RT.
  5. Great info thanks guys. Ross, all that link did was convince me to buy a new 4RT instead!
  6. Hmm, Mitani? Sounds spendy especially to get it here in the US. Thanks for the tip though. Can the stock '15 rear fender be reshaped/trimmed at the tank to make it work? A honda dealer over here has them in stock but they're not really close enough to take my bike down for a test fit. Cheers, Pip.
  7. Quick question for anyone that knows, will the fenders from a '14 or '15 4RT fit on the earlier models? It looks like the mount bolts are in the same places but not sure about the new tank shape vs old. Thanks in advance, Pip.

    Ay Up

good lord, there's a name I haven't heard in a while but i've been gone too and just figured all the old characters were still here giving eachother hell! are you still up north John? Oregon if I recall? cheers, pip.
  9. Fun topic Billy T although not many seem interested in sharing their story much but here's a bit of mine.... Born and raised in Surrey, England. Rode trials and motocross out of Comerfords and Dave Renhams shop from about 14 on, now a ripe old 49 and living in So Cal for the last 23 yrs. Still riding trials on and off but finally managed to shake off the MX bug after years of injuries. For the most part I've managed to avoid ever having a real job as I've been a musician since leaving school in '81 and still tour the world although the travel is grinding me down in recent years and the end is nigh! I had a 5yr spell of fitness training some of the best motocross racers in the world (Grant Langston, Josh Hill, Nico Izzi, Kyle Cunningham) which was great fun but involved a lot of travel also so I backed away from that too. So now if I'm not gigging, I'm riding mtn bikes, dual sport, trials or daily riding my KTM 1190 adventure on the street. Can't imagine life without 2 wheels and I'm looking to get into a '14 or '15 trials bike here quickly as the rainy season has arrived which reminds me of home and......trials! cheers, Pip Hancox.
  10. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to see it in indoor action. Too bad! Is the bike not ready or is Fajardo struugling with set-up? Let the speculation begin.
  11. not a chance! he's been beating pat all year. it has to have been suggested to him by now. just wondering his take on it. it'd be great to see him give it a shot dontcha think?
  12. ok so knowing how well pat did in europe and now that cody seems to have surpassed his level, are there any plans for cody to go and compete in WTC? please tell me he's at least contemplating it! cheers, pip.
  13. subscribe to YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE and you'll get a free one! give adrian and mandy a call at lewisport.
  14. i dared to bring this subject up a few years ago on this forum but was put back in my place swiftly . whilst it's true, trials began as an endurance event and there's nothing quite like a trial with some roadwork to explore some scenery, here in the US at least, land usage issues and zero chance of getting my bike street legal are serious limiting factors. i think i came to the conclusion a while back that there is no easy solution.but the days of being able to meander through the countryside to ride the perfect sections, over here at least, are over. i think short spectator friendly loops are the way to go and could be made to work well with some planning.it was tried at a donner national a few years back and worked great but was shot down by folks that seem to live in the past and don't take todays constraints into consideration.enduro promoters have pretty much given up around here and it would be sad to see trials go the same way just because it's traditional that we cover every square acre possible to make it a "real"trial. trials is a fun sport to watch and should be allowed to grow in that direction.if i want to thrash/challenge my bike and body i'll drive a few hundred miles and ride an enduro! ok,i ready to take a beating again so don't hold back . pip.
  15. the good word is,they'll be available from lewisport when the first issue comes out in november.good old adrian and mandy save the day again! is there nothing they can't get???? pip.
