  1. If you are going up the Swainey on Saturday keep a look out for a guy called Gareth. He will be in a big blue van and riding a 2010 Gasgas 280.

He is very helpful and has guided many a club member over the years, and i am sure he will be only to pleased to advise you mate.

Have fun and don't get to ambitious early on. As said before just ask anyone for advice. We are all a friendly bunch in trials.

  2. A road based trial with 20 sections and 2 laps. Each rider has an individual start time. All the riders started at the correct time. After the 2nd lap has started 3 riders (riding together) get pulled by the police. He informs the competitors that until he has checked all the bikes they cannot leave the scene. All the bikes are checked and nothing is found to stop them continuing. The police allow the bikes to continue.

When the riders arrive at the time control they have incurred time penalties: Rider A 19mins, Rider B 21mins and Rider C 23 mins. They inform the time controller that they had been stopped by the police for approx. 20 mins, The time control allows them to ride the last section. The clerk of course is informed of the time controller

  5. Horsforth & Dmc have a trial tonight that has a seperate course which would be suitable for the oset. Its a newcomers course which caters for raw beginners and small wheels.

Starts at 6:30 just off the ringroad below Horsforth roundabout.

If you can't make that just have a look at www.horsforthtrials.co.uk for a list of Novice and beginner trials which all have a small course available.
